"When this came, I was like ‘Wow, I finally have one’."
Nushrratt Bharuccha has broken her silence on the speculation that she is dating Yo Yo Honey Singh.
The actress worked on the rapper’s 2021 song ‘Saiyaan Ji’, featuring in the music video.
A paparazzi video has now led to the belief that the two are dating.
The pair were seen leaving an event matching in black and holding hands.
One netizen asked: “Are they dating?”
Another said: “Why do I feel that they are together.”
The paparazzi greeted them but Nushrratt and Honey walked without speaking.
Addressing the rumours, Nushrratt said:
“You know what, this is my life’s first dating rumour.
“Everywhere that I have been, there has been no rumour. Also, because I have never been with anyone.
“When this came, I was like ‘Wow, I finally have one’.
“Now when people ask me these questions in rapid fire, I can at least tell them that I too had a dating rumour.
“I think people have no work in life and they also have a great imagination. So keep doing it, I have no problem.”

On the work front, Nushrratt is awaiting the release of Chatrapathi, which releases on May 12, 2023. It also stars Bellamkonda Sreenivas.
Speaking about the film, the actress said:
“I am excited, but I also have goosebumps.
“This is my first pan-India action drama, and I couldn’t have asked for anything better than a film like Chatrapathi.
“I am so thrilled to have worked with a team of such brilliant technicians and an amazing co-star, Sreenivas.”
Chatrapathi tells the story of a protagonist who rises against oppression to become a saviour of immigrants that suffered massive exploitation.
The upcoming film also features Sharad Kelkar, Bhagyashree, Amit Nair, Sahil Vaid, Shivam Patil and Rajendra Gupta, among several others.
Meanwhile, Nushrratt Bharuccha gave her honest opinion on not being a part of Dream Girl 2.
She admitted: “When you’ve done a film, which has been well received, you do get connected with it. Dream Girl is always going to have a special connection.
“Also because Ayushmann was genuinely a delight to work with, and he’s someone whom I honestly call my closest friend from the movies business.
“He was the only person who called to check on me when I had fallen sick and had vertigo.
“My director Raaj Shaandilyaa, with whom I also did Janhit Mein Jaari, is also very close to my heart.
“So for me the whole setup and the whole team is special.
“Of course, it was disheartening to not be part of their second journey.
“But having said that, I wish the best to the film and I’m going to be cheering for them, watching the first-day first show, and hoping the film does more than 200-300 crores.”
