"I'm just gonna smile."
A picture of Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala started trending on November 25, 2022, on social media.
The picture of the rumoured couple was curated by several fan pages.
In the picture, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala are seen twinning in black outfits.
Rumours about Naga Chaitanya and the Made In Heaven actress’ romance began earlier in 2022.
A few months ago, when RJ Siddharth Kannan asked the Naga Chaitanya to describe Sobhita Dhulipala during an interview, he replied: “I’m just gonna smile.”
As soon as the picture was widely shared on the internet, Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s fans began reacting.
A fan wrote: “I won’t talk about Sobhita and Naga Chaitanya pic… because there will be DMs… why are you spreading negativity. One thing I would say karma will hit very hard.”
Another said: “Where were you when Sam was trolled so badly few months back and his fans said that it’s Samantha and her PR team who spread fake rumours about Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita.”
Meanwhile, many users said the viral picture could well be a photoshopped one.
A Facebook user wrote: “Some creative mind seems to have merged two different pics.
“Why would the ‘Thank You’ actor and his rumoured girlfriend pose for a pic when they are not ready to be forthcoming about their relationship?”
Naga Chaitanya was previously married to Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
They co-starred in films like Manam, Majili, Ye Maaya Chesave, and Autonagar Surya.
The two got married in 2017 and announced their separation on social media in a joint statement in October 2021.
“You mean if you put us both in a room, you’d have to hide sharp objects?
“Yes, as of now but it may be some time in the future.”
On the work front, Chaitanya is shooting for Custody, a bilingual directed by Venkat Prabhu.
The action thriller is expected to hit the screens in 2023. The film also features Krithi Shetty.
