Naga Chaitanya has reacted to the rumours that he and fellow actress Sobhita Dhulipala are dating.
After Naga and Samantha Ruth Prabhu announced their split, rumours began to spread that Naga was dating Sobhita.
Some trolls claimed that such rumours were spread by Samantha’s PR team in a bid to smear her ex-husband’s image.
Samantha quickly shut down the rumours.
Others accused Sobhita of being responsible for the couple’s split.
Sobhita responded by sharing a video of herself showing her middle finger to those spreading the rumours. She also denied them, saying they were baseless.
Naga has now reacted to the rumours and his reaction gave a potential hint at his personal life.
As he gears up for his Bollywood debut in Laal Singh Chaddha, Naga gave an awkward reaction when asked about Sobhita.
During a conversation with radio host Siddharth Kannan, Naga was asked to say what comes to mind when a colleague’s name is read out.
When Naga heard Sobhita’s name, he awkwardly laughed before nodding his head. He then paused before saying:
“I’m just gonna smile.”
While Naga did not explicitly address the rumours, speculation continues as he and Sobhita were previously spotted at Naga’s new home in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.
A source had said: “Chay and Sobhita seemed very comfortable in each other’s company as they spent time at the actor’s new house.
“Naga Chaitanya was giving her a tour of his massive home. After a few hours, they left together in the same car.”
The source went on to claim that they have been inseparable.
“Chay was spotted multiple times at the same hotel as Sobhita Dhulipala where she was staying for the promotions of her last film Major.
“In fact, she also spent her birthday recently in Hyderabad with her ‘close buddies’.”
Naga spoke about his separation from Samantha and stated that both have moved on.
He said: “Whatever both of us wanted to say, we both put out a statement regarding that.
“That’s what I have always done with my personal life anyway. Things that I feel are crucial to be shared and put out, I do inform the media about it, whether it’s good or bad.
“I come out, tell people about it through a statement and that’s it.
“In our case, Samantha has moved on, I’ve moved on and I don’t feel the need to inform the world about it, more than that.”
