Stars in the Indian entertainment industry have reacted to the news of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ win in the United States Election.

Indian stars have taken to social media to share their thoughts and celebratory messages on the victory of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the US Presidential elections.

Joe Biden was announced the winner of the elections after he beat fellow candidate and ex-President, Donald Trump.

Kamala Harris created history after becoming the first Asian American, first Black American and first woman to be Vice President.

In his first speech after becoming President of the United States, Joe Biden stated it was “time to heal” a segregated America.

Since the pairs win, many celebrities have celebrated their win. Priyanka Chopra Jonas wrote:

“America spoke in record breaking numbers and the verdict is in … EVERY VOTE counts.

“I applaud everyone who voted in what was such a powerful display of how a democracy should function.

“It was amazing to witness this election in the US. Congrats to the President Elect @joebiden and Vice President elect @kamalaharris, the first woman VP!

“Dream Big girls! Anything can happen!! Congratulations America.”

Actor Abhay Deol shared a funny meme on Instagram which shows the Statue of Liberty throwing away Donald Trump with a slingshot. He captioned it:

“Yup. It happened! Art by @vascogargalo.”

Actress and host Gauahar Khan retweeted a video originally posted by Kamala Harris.

She wrote: “Yayyyyy! Keeping the faith! #bettertomorrow peace love democracy.”

Actor Riteish Deshmukh tweeted: “’JOE’ jeeta wohi sikandar #USAelection2020.”

Actress Richa Chaddha referred to the win as a moment of hope. She said:

“Biden, Harris and a small drop of hope! 2020 ends better than it started.”

Richa’s partner Ali Fazal also commented on the result of the US election. He shared a picture from Biden and Harris’ victory speech. He captioned it:

“America!! This is truly amazinggg!!! This feels like the people’s victory you can tell. #FireTrump #BidenHarris2020.”

Indian actress Shruti Seth also took to Twitter to congratulate the winners. She wrote:

“My heart is so full of hope right now, knowing that balance is restored. I can tell my daughter that being good matters.”

“It pays off & it definitely lets you sleep well at night. Looking forward to waking up in a new world tomorrow! Congratulations @JoeBiden & @KamalaHarris.”

Indian television actress Shrenu Parikh commented on Kamala Harris’ win. She wrote:

“This victory feels like our own! #FirstFemaleVicePresident #proud #hailwomenpower.”

This year’s election was certainly one of the most intense presidential races in history.
