Two fruit juice shop workers in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, were taken in custody for allegedly mixing urine in customers’ drinks.
Footage showed the aftermath of the discovery, with angry locals beating the shopkeeper.
The video, which spread quickly on social media, has sparked outrage and disgust among viewers.
It was captioned: “UP: In Ghaziabad, urine was being mixed in juice and given to customers.
“Police arrested the shop workers. About one litre of urine was recovered from the shop. The public beat up both the accused.”
It was reported that the incident happened at Khushi Juice Corner.
The matter came to light after several people noticed shopowner Aamir Khan mixing a suspicious yellow liquid with fruit juice.
Believing the liquid was urine, a huge crowd soon gathered and they started beating Khan.
Footage showed the crowd in the back of the stall, assaulting the owner.
One man is seen smacking him and striking him with his knee.
At one point, a bystander stepped in to stop the assault, while another recorded the entire incident on their mobile phone.
According to reports, a plastic container filled with urine was found inside the juice shop, confirming the locals’ suspicions.
The accused reportedly admitted to the accusations and even apologised for their actions.
Police arrived shortly after the chaos erupted and arrested Khan. They also detained his 15-year-old employee.

Authorities have since launched an investigation into these shocking allegations.
Senior police officer Bhaskar Verma said the police were trying to find out the motive behind the act.
He said: “After the information was received on September 13, the police promptly arrived at the scene and found approximately 1 litre of suspected urine from a can at the shop.
“The police have arrested Aamir Khan. An FIR has been registered, and further legal action is underway.”
The incident left many people appalled at the thought of such a disgusting act happening in a place meant for refreshment.
As the investigation unfolds, the incident continues to raise serious concerns about food safety and hygiene.
