"Cow urine was drunk daily."

An Indian woman claimed that she drank a cow’s urine for 45 days as a means to purify herself.

She also said that she mixed it with cow dung.

This was after she apparently visited a restaurant and saw someone eating non-vegetarian biryani at the table near her.

In a video on X, the unnamed woman said: “On our way back, we had some time before our flight.

“Someone told us to go to the beach and have a meal. They said, ‘When you have to go, phone us and we’ll send a taxi for you’.

“So, we went to the restaurant and ordered food. 10 minutes later, someone sat down behind us and ordered biryani.

“That biryani was non-vegetarian and we started crying badly then and there. It was like someone snatched away our good deeds.

“We all ran out of there like we couldn’t breathe.

“It might have been a mistake but we touched a bottle of water there.

“After reaching the airport, instead of going home, we went straight to Haridwar.

“For 45 days, food was not made in my home. Cow urine was drunk daily.

“We had a repentance lasting 45 days.”

The video elicited negative reactions from netizens, with questions over the authenticity of the Indian woman’s claims.

One user commented: “She went to an eatery where non-vegetarian food is also served when she hated it so much. She is fake.”

Another person said: “Absolutely shocking, isn’t it? Not just cow urine! She mixed cow dung with that urine and consumed it.

“Who’s this person??

“Does such consumption not impact the human digestive system medically?

“Is this a prescription for purification? 45 days of daily animal excreta consumption?? I give up!”

A third viewer asked: “Who is this melodramatic lady and who are these two people who pretend to be in awe of her tale?

“Perhaps for the sake of some views, reach, or impressions?”

More viewers demanded proof from the Indian woman.

One user demanded: “Does she have any proof that she drank cow urine at all?”

For many Indians, non-vegetarianism is considered impure.

In India, cows are also looked upon as sacred animals. Therefore, beef is not consumed by the majority of citizens.

Given the damage such consumption can cause, people are right to question the claim of the Indian woman, who appeared in fine health while recounting the incident.
