Bollywood celebrity Rakhi Sawant is a contestant on Indian reality show Bigg Boss 2020.
The 14th season of the show is currently airing with many Indian models, celebrities and individuals participating as contestants.
The show is an Indian version of the popular Channel 4 television franchise Big Brother.
Hence, it is not uncommon for contestants to snipe and take hits at one another.
In the latest episode of Bigg Boss released on December 18, 2020, the game took an ugly turn.
Rakhi Sawant was seen slut-shaming and abusing opposition contestant Nikki Tamboli.
Rakhi says: “(Nikki) Perfume laga ke ladkon ko hug karti hai” (She wears perfume and hugs men.)
Fellow contestant, Arshi Khan is seen siding with Rakhi and walking away laughing when Manu Punjabi calls her out.
Manu Panjabi is the man Nikki was seen hugging, which led to this chaos in the first place.
In the episode, he is seen losing his cool at Rakhi, and asking her who she thinks she is to slut-shame another woman.

The incident did not go down well with Indian celebs and Twitter users.
Rakhi Sawant and Arshi Khan were criticised for their ‘disgusting’ and ‘low behaviour’.
Prior to this conflict, Rakhi Sawant had been quickly becoming a favourite on the reality show.
Rakhi’s outspoken antics are greatly appreciated by fans and past-contestants alike.
However, on this occasion, Rakhi Sawant was criticised by one and all.
Indian TV actress Kamya Panjabi wrote on Twitter:

Jaan Kumar Sanu, a recently evicted contestant from the Bigg Boss house, wrote on Twitter:

Another user shared:
“I guess this is the first season where contestants are not taking a stand for right or wrong. This is ridiculous.”
Contestant Nikki Tamboli’s mother who saw the interaction stated:
“The kind of language Rakhi used and is abusing on the show I feel pukish.
“I really don’t understand what people find entertaining in this.
“I saw her telling my daughter ‘Mardo ko kone mein le jaakar baithti hai chugalkhor’, it sounds so vulgar and cheap.
(She sits with men in corners the snitch)
“Rakhi went on to throw a chair on her. I don’t know what limits she is going to cross.”
Fans suspect Bollywood actor Salman Khan, the host of the show will be admonishing Rakhi on her uncouth behaviour on the weekend special episode of Bigg Boss.
