Ibrahim will assist Karan Johar
Ibrahim Ali Khan, the son of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, is all set to make his directorial debut.
Ibrahim is reportedly due to be an assistant director with filmmaker Karan Johar.
Johar, head of Dharma Productions, is gearing up for his next directorial project Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
According to reports, Ibrahim will assist Karan Johar behind the camera, and learn the art of Bollywood filmmaking.
With his father Saif and sister Sara Ali Khan already in Bollywood, Ibrahim will follow in their footsteps.
However, directing is not the only area of Bollywood that Ibrahim Ali Khan will get experience in.
If reports are true, Ibrahim will also be acting in a new adaptation directed by Zoya Akhtar.
Akhtar is currently working on bringing the comic book series Archie to the big screen and reportedly wants to launch Ibrahim as the title character.
He will feature alongside Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi Kapoor.
Rumours have been circulating about Khushi Kapoor’s Bollywood debut for a while.
However, her father Boney Kapoor recently revealed that he had no knowledge of her entry into the industry.
The film producer said:
“I don’t know anything about this. I don’t know what you are talking about.”
Although Boney Kapoor was unaware that his daughter is about to be launched into Bollywood, he has spoken about her potential debut before.
Back in January 2021, Boney Kapoor said that he has the means to launch his daughter’s acting career himself.
However, he would prefer someone else do it.
Kapoor said:
“I have the resources, but I would rather someone else launch her because I am her father and one tends to get indulgent.
“You can’t afford to do that as a filmmaker and nor is it good for the actor.
“I would want Khushi to find her own footing.
“She will be launched by someone I respect and someone I feel secure and safe about.”
Clearly, Boney Kapoor trusts filmmaker Zoya Akhtar to launch his daughter Khushi’s career.
However, Khushi Kapoor recently admitted that she would trust Karan Johar to launch her too.
She revealed this during her appearance on BFFs with Vogue 3 in 2019, alongside her sister Janhvi Kapoor.
As well as this, Khushi Kapoor said that, although her father would not be the one to launch her, she would always have him choose her first co-star.
