Akshay Kumar is well known for his action movies and talent in martial arts. With his huge portfolio of comedy-action films, he ranks at number four in our list. Known as ‘Khiladi Kumar’, Akshay earns 30 crore (£2,947,844.74) for each of his films.

He is the most expensive actor of Bollywood as well as being the only actor in the industry to perform his own stunts, which clearly shows that his fee is valid.

Making around 18-22 crore to 30 crore justifies his earnings with his top class risky stunts which compliment his action scenes. His countersignature pay is around 1.5-2 crore on commercials each day.

With his latest film, Boss (2013), he raked in 14.5 crore. The film also made a mark on Box Office collections, becoming the fourth highest opener of 2013.

3. Shahrukh Khan

Shahrukh Khan has made huge contributions to the Bollywood industry, as the charming King of Romance. And his countless achievements over the decades befit his unmatched acting skills.

For each movie he signs up to, he earns 35 to 45 crore (between £3,439,152.19 and £4,421,767.11) as well as having a share in the profits. Films starring Shahrukh Khan instantly become blockbuster hits.

The King of Bollywood topped the Box Office list as he made a record breaking 33 crore (£3,242,629.21) on the opening of the first day of collections for Chennai Express (2013). In addition, he also attracts 2 to 3 crore for every advertisement he appears in.

He is unique from the other actors of the industry with his cute smile, ground-breaking ideas, skilful acting and his astounding sense of style.

He ranks second in the list, making earnings of around 40 to 50 crore (between £3,930,459.65 and £4,913,074.56) per movie and 4 crore from endorsements each day. He was recently paid 45 crore (£4,421,767.11) for his upcoming movie, Dhoom 3 (December 2013).

The top paid Bollywood male actor of 2013 is none other than Salman Khan. Known as ‘Bhai Jaan’, Salman started his acting career in Bollywood by starring in Biwi Ho Toh Aisi (1988).

While he was not overly famous to begin with, Salman’s talent led him work his way up the B-town ladder. He has since been rewarded by being in some incredible classic Indian films and gaining a hefty amount of success and recognition in the process.

One of the top 3 Khan’s of the Bollywood industry, Salman’s personality is full of charm and he is very well-known for his trademark dancing style. He is one of the most famous Bollywood bachelors in the industry and is the dream of many single girls, young and old.

Salman has broken records in the industry with super hit films like Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Dabangg 2 (2012). The unprecedented success of both films has led to a considerable increase in his pay check and he now earns up to 50 crore (£4,913,074.56) for his films.

Now rumours around B-town suggest that Khan could very well be paid an incredible 100 crore (£9,826,149.13) for a possible film that he has signed with Subhash Ghai.
