During an interview on Life Green Hai, Haroon Shahid revealed an interesting titbit about the casting process of Verna.

He disclosed that originally, the role which eventually went to Mahira Khan was earmarked for Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan.

However, Kareena Kapoor had to step away from the project. This was due to her personal commitments, such as marriage and the impending arrival of her first child.

This unforeseen circumstance led to the casting shuffle, ultimately resulting in Mahira Khan being chosen for the role.

Haroon Shahid was a musician and transitioned into acting with his debut in Verna.

He admitted to his own lack of familiarity with acting fundamentals during the filming of Verna.

He has since spoken about this learning curve, acknowledging that he developed his acting skills through subsequent projects.

Fans were shocked at this revelation and claimed the film would have been better if Kareena had been a part of it.
