TikTok sensation Hareem Shah has found herself under the protective umbrella of the British police.
This was after allegedly facing threats from certain individuals.
According to a Met Police spokesperson, Hareem Shah filed a complaint regarding alleged blackmail, harassment and threats.
These were from individuals she had a falling out with in Manchester, where she previously was staying before travelling to London.
The controversy surrounding Hareem Shah erupted when anonymous accounts on social media released videos and images of her.
This wave of allegations began after a group of British Pakistanis accused Hareem of stealing over £5,000 from them.
This had prompted her to flee to London. Hareem vehemently denies the accusations.
She insisted that her accusers should pursue legal avenues rather than resorting to social media defamation and intimidation tactics.
Hareem stated: “These are all British Pakistani people behind this, and they only went after me after I helped a girl who was being blackmailed.”
Hareem also referred to her accusers as members of the “mafia”.
She added: “They all have ties with various political parties.
“Maybe they thought that the UK is like Pakistan and they can get away with it, but I have dealt with them in a legal manner.
“How could these people lie like this and descend to such tactics, especially during Ramadan?”
Originally hailing from Bahawalpur, Hareem Shah relocated to Manchester before moving to London.
This was approximately a year ago in an attempt to escape persistent harassment.
Disputing the theft accusations circulating on social media, Hareem Shah challenged:
“If I actually took money from someone, wouldn’t they go to the police and have me investigated?
“Why harass, threaten, and smear me on social media instead?”
Initiating a defamation lawsuit against those responsible for maligning her on social media, she expressed hope that appropriate action would be taken.
“I express immense gratitude to the police for their unwavering protection and generous financial support during this challenging time.”
Additionally, Hareem disclosed her involvement with a women’s rights group, utilising her significant platform to advocate for women’s rights.
Hareem Shah has often found herself embroiled in controversies. People were not shocked at this news.
A user wrote: “Her life is like a Bollywood drama that goes on for a hundred plus episodes.”
