Humayun Saeed and Sohai Ali Abro are making a comeback to television after a three-year break. They are starring in the upcoming drama serial Gentleman.
In a departure from the norm, the premiere was held at a cinema in Karachi, marking a new trend in the industry.
Veteran actor Behroze Sabzwari, who attended the event, noted:
“This is a new trend that the drama premiere is being held.
“The drama is very powerful as it has a strong cast, comprising Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui.”
He expressed hope for its success.
Yumna Zaidi, who is the lead actress said: “Gentleman itself was a great experience. And I am a very beautiful part of it. You guys will enjoy watching it.”
Gentleman is based on the story of a Karachi-based gangster and is directed by Haissam Hussain.
The drama serial is produced by Samina Humayun Saeed and Sana Shahnawaz under the banner of Next Level Entertainment Productions.
The story has been written by renowned Pakistani writer Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar.
The talented cast includes Zahid Ahmed, Sohai Ali Abro, Ahmed Ali Butt, Adnan Siddiqui, Humayun Saeed, and Yumna Zaidi.
Humayun Saeed plays Munna in Gentleman, which promises to offer a captivating story about Karachi’s street gangs.
The premiere was attended by drama industry figures.
These included Sara Khan, Falak Shabir, Ramsha Khan, Azaan Sami Khan, Tuba Anwar, Javaria Saud, Bushra Ansari and Syed Gibran.
Apart from that, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Faisal Qureshi and a lot of other senior veterans joined as well. They all watched the premiere of the first episode in the cinema.
Hamza Ali Abbasi said: “Drama is a massive industry in Pakistan, with a wider reach than films, as they are a staple in every household.
“Gentleman brings a fresh perspective, filling a gap in the industry.”
Viewers were pleased to see how big the event was.
