Farhan Saeed Critiques 'Tich Button' Cast and Production f

"There were unprofessional people involved."

Pakistani singer and actor Farhan Saeed recently spoke candidly about his experience working on the film Tich Button, sharing his opinions about the production and its cast.

During an appearance on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, Farhan admitted that while the project had potential, many factors made it extremely challenging for the team and him.

He stated: “When you connect with a project, if you are not sincere with it or with the team, or if you have issues with it, it becomes unsuccessful.

“Iman didn’t have any issues with the project, but it was the wrong casting altogether.

“We made a film, it was a success, but it was difficult.”

Farhan emphasised that he always gives his hundred percent to a project, but certain unprofessional practices made the shoot harder than expected.

“There were unprofessional people involved. They will hear it and mind it, but that’s the truth.”

“When I sign a project, I give my hundred percent. These are old-school, 90s-style things, being late on set, throwing tantrums.

“It’s obvious from their career graphs how they are progressing.

“We conducted screen tests for the actors, but they had a few issues.”

The actor described the shoot itself as physically demanding.

There were scenes filmed in Nankana Sahib during freezing temperatures, where the cast and crew endured minus two degrees.

He praised co-star Iman Ali for her professionalism despite having multiple sclerosis, noting:

“She was a star in her own right. She wanted PC-level protocols, which isn’t always possible.

“But I give full credit to Qavi Sahab, Gul-e-Rana, Sohail Sahab, Samia Mumtaz, and Raahila Agha.

“They were amazing and dedicated people. I learned a lot.”

Farhan also openly admitted he would avoid working with the same cast in the future.

The actor joked that the film “got Tiched” due to multiple production difficulties.

The film, originally scheduled for a 2019 release, faced repeated delays and eventually premiered in November 2022 with a mixed reception at the box office.

Farhan Saeed’s acting career further includes acclaimed dramas such as Udaari, Prem Gali, Mere Humsafar, and Shirin Farhad, earning him both critical and audience appreciation.

Recently, Farhan Saeed also released his first independent album, Khat, showcasing his musical versatility that continues to strengthen his presence in Pakistan’s entertainment industry.

Fans have praised the album for its sincerity, melodic variety, and lyrical depth.
