A brand new Bangla song titled ‘Uri’ is gearing up for its release on Eid-ul-Fitr 2026, bringing together three celebrated creative forces.

The upcoming track marks the first-ever collaboration between lyricist Golam Murshed, composer and guitarist Lutful Ahmed Labu, also known as Labu Rahman, and iconic singer Fahmida Nabi.

Scheduled to premiere on the YouTube channel Gaan Janala, the song will be part of the platform’s specially curated Eid programming lineup.

Recorded in November 2025 at a studio in Mohammadpur, Dhaka, ‘Uri’ blends romantic emotions with a contemporary band-inspired musical arrangement.

The song is written by Golam Murshed, composed by Labu Rahman, and performed by Fahmida Nabi.

Lyrically, the track explores themes of love, companionship, and the desire to escape together both emotionally and imaginatively.

Speaking about the collaboration, Golam Murshed reflected on his long-standing association with Labu Rahman, which dates back to 1997.

He shared that their professional relationship gradually evolved into a deep personal bond built on mutual respect and creative understanding.

Although Rahman has long been admired as a skilled guitarist and musician, he had rarely stepped into composing melodies previously.

Murshed revealed that about a year ago, Rahman expressed a strong desire to focus seriously on composing original songs.

According to Murshed, Rahman proposed that they work exclusively together, shaping melodies around Murshed’s lyrics.

That creative decision resulted in eight to ten new songs in a single creative stretch, including ‘Uri’.

Sharing his excitement, Murshed said reuniting with Fahmida Nabi after a long gap made the project especially meaningful.

He added that both Rahman and Nabi were deeply invested in the song and confident listeners would emotionally connect with it.

Labu Rahman, on his part, said he had several melodies ready and felt the timing was perfect to finally share them publicly.

Calling Fahmida Nabi the ideal voice for the track, Rahman noted that ‘Uri’ carries a strong band-style musical structure.

He expressed hope that the song would leave a lasting impression once it reaches audiences during the festive season.

For Fahmida Nabi, ‘Uri’ marks her first collaboration with Labu Rahman.

Recalling her recording experience, the veteran singer described the process as refreshingly different from conventional studio sessions.

She shared that instead of strictly following a fixed tune, Rahman encouraged her to interpret the melody freely.

Reflecting on that creative liberty, she said: “I was given rare freedom to feel the song and sing it my own way.”

Fahmida Nabi described ‘Uri’ as expressive, refreshing, and artistically fulfilling, adding that the experience felt deeply rewarding.

With its blend of heartfelt lyrics, modern musical sensibilities, and seasoned artistry, ‘Uri’ is poised to become a notable Eid release.
