"I respect him a lot, but the relationship did not last."
Eijaz Khan and Pavitra Punia have broken up after nearly four years together.
The confirmation comes amid ongoing rumours about a split.
Pavitra confirmed the news and revealed that they actually broke up several months ago.
She said: “There is a self-life for everything, nothing is permanent.
“In relationships, too, there can be a shelf-life. Eijaz and I parted ways a few months ago and I will always wish him well.
“I respect him a lot, but the relationship did not last.”
Eijaz also wished Pavitra well, saying:
“I hope Pavitra finds the love and success she deserves. She will always be a part of my duas.”
The pair met on Bigg Boss 14 and although they were close, they often clashed.
Pavitra was vocal about liking Eijaz but she was apprehensive about getting into a relationship with him.
After the series ended, they reconciled and began dating.
Eijaz and Pavitra got engaged in October 2022.
As pictures captured the moment, Eijaz Khan captioned the post:
“Baby, if we keep waiting for the right time.
“It’s never gonna be.
“I promise you my best.
“Will you marry me?
“She said ‘yes’.”
Eijaz previously opened up about his relationship with Pavitra.
He said: “There is no better place to realise the reality of a person than the BB house. The whole sham of Pavitra being a tough girl was busted; she is quite soft-hearted.
“In fact, she is the most caring person I know. She has been cooking for me. My fourth call after leaving the house was to her.”
“After I left my dad, I have spent the longest time with her since my exit to understand the unsaid.
“A lot of things needed to be addressed, not just about her past, but also what we think of each other.”
The split has shocked fans but reportedly, they broke up five months ago due to compatibility issues but they continued to share the same apartment in Malad, Mumbai.
Eijaz moved out of their apartment in January 2024 while Pavitra remained.
On the work front, Eijaz has acted in the likes of Tanu Weds Manu, Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Shorgul.
He was last seen as the villainous Manish Gaekwad in Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster Jawan.
Meanwhile, Pavitra has been a part of shows like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Naagin 3 and Baalveer Returns.
