Indian rapper Badshah and Punjabi actor Isha Rikhi have confirmed their separation just five months after their wedding.

Both posted identical notes on their Instagram Stories, officially ending speculation that had been building for several weeks.

Badshah shared the statement first, writing: “I and Isha Rikhi have mutually decided to part ways and move forward on our separate paths.”

He added that the decision had been made “with mutual respect” and asked fans and the media to give the couple the space they needed.

He made clear that the statement would be their only comment on the matter and that he did not want “further speculation about the split.”

Isha Rikhi posted an identical note on her own account shortly after, confirming that the two had “mutually decided to part ways” and echoing the request for privacy.

The confirmation brings an end to a marriage that had itself only been officially confirmed earlier following months of public speculation.

Trouble in the marriage had been hinted at weeks before the official separation announcement, with Isha making several cryptic posts.

In a since-deleted Instagram post, Isha appeared to allude to the difficult situation she had been navigating in the weeks before the split.

She wrote about staying silent out of fear rather than acceptance and described feeling overwhelmed by her husband’s perceived influence.

She added that she had convinced herself that remaining silent was the safer option but that she was now choosing courage over fear instead.

She clarified that she was not yet ready to share further details publicly.

Her mother Poonam Rikhi had also drawn attention when she shared a series of pointed Instagram posts about karma and justice amid the growing speculation.

Public speculation about the marriage had first emerged in March 2026 when Poonam shared photographs from what appeared to be a wedding.

Her post was captioned simply, “God bless you,” and showed the couple in traditional wedding attire.

Badshah was pictured wearing a brown kurta and golden safaa while Isha wore a red shalwar kameez in the widely shared images.

Poonam later posted a video of the rituals, further fuelling speculation before the couple had made their relationship officially public.

At the time, the two had reportedly been dating for close to four years, having met through mutual friends and kept their relationship largely private.

The couple was formally married in a traditional Gurdwara ceremony in April 2026 in a union that was reportedly approved by both of their families.

The separation marks the end of Badshah’s second marriage, adding another significant personal chapter to the rapper’s well-documented personal life.

He was previously married to Jasmine Masih, whom he had met online, with the two tying the knot back in the year 2012.
