Diljit Dosanjh has starred in an advert for Indian dairy brand Nanak Foods. The appearance marks the countdown to Diwali.

Diljit Dosanjh shared his latest ad campaign for Indian dairy brand Nanak Foods on his Instagram page.

Shared with his 11.9 million followers, the video has gained over 1.6 million views and 430,000 likes.

In the ad, Diljit is seen moving into a new neighbourhood. He greets his neighbours but they don’t respond.

The next day, he greets them again but they ignore him.

On the evening of Diwali, he visits his neighbour’s house and gifts them a box of Nanak Foods’ gulab jamun.

The family welcomes him into their home and they celebrate Diwali together.

The ‘Proper Patola’ singer has worked with Nanak Foods many times before.

Diljit has been a brand endorser for Nanak Foods since April 2021.

Videos and photos of Diljit are regularly shared on the brand’s official Instagram page. He was last seen advertising Nanak Foods’ phulka roti.

On September 17, 2021, Diljit was seen in a promotional video advertising the brand’s paneer.

The 100% vegetarian brand shared the advert on their Instagram page.

The advert was captioned: “Open your hearts.

“The Diwali Countdown is on with @diljitdosanjh.

“As we head into the festive season many of us will be looking forward to catching up with friends, enjoying sweet treats, and spending quality time with our families.

“Let’s not forget to open our hearts to those that may be new to our neighbourhood – or country!

“Diwali is the perfect time to welcome newcomers and enjoy and celebrate with your family.”

“And we at Nanak want to be a part of that celebration too!”

Nanak Foods prides itself on creating food products that Indians living abroad can eat to have a taste of home.

In 2018, Nanak Foods opened its second paneer factory in Canada.

The president of Nanak Foods, Gurpreet Arneja, said:

Aside from Nanak Foods, the singer and actor is currently involved in many projects, including the upcoming Punjabi comedy film Honsla Rakh.

The film marks the debut of Diljit as a producer.
