The actor surprised moviegoers at a Mumbai screening alongside his co-star Disha Patani, where he teased that the next instalment could arrive very soon.
Awarapan 2 released in theatres on Friday and opened to a strong and enthusiastic response from audiences across the country.
The sequel to Hashmi’s beloved 2007 cult classic had also recorded impressive advance bookings ahead of its theatrical debut.

Emraan and Disha visited a theatre in Mumbai during the film’s interval, choosing to interact directly with fans watching the screening.

He said: “This is a film that belongs to the fans more than the makers, which is why we have returned.
“We have made this journey even more thrilling with more action and emotions.”
