“Dialled In has always been about building the infrastructure"

South Asian cultural platform Dialled In has announced the launch of Dialled In Records, a new label focused on developing boundary-pushing South Asian artists globally.

Based in London, the label sits at the intersection of club culture, alternative music and cross-genre experimentation. It aims to create a permanent home for emerging talent from South Asia and its diaspora.

Dialled In Records will release music, support long-term artist development and build international pathways for artists.

The label will work across genres, including experimental electronics, club sounds and vocal-led projects.

The first signings include co-founder Ahadadream and Mumbai-based collective Excise Dept.

The announcement coincides with Dialled In’s fifth anniversary, which will be marked with its largest festival yet on May 30, 2026.

Ahadadream remains a standout figure in the UK scene, known for his DJ sets and distinctive production style, receiving support from the likes of Skrillex, Fred again.., Four Tet, Eliza Rose and Pete Tong.

His song ‘Bass Dhol’, featuring Raf Saperra and Skrillex, is the label’s first release.

The track has surpassed one million streams and reached number one on the BBC Asian Network Charts. It was also named Track of the Week on Radio 1.

Excise Dept, a collective based between New Delhi and Mumbai, blends experimental electronic music with South Asian identity and storytelling. The group incorporates multiple regional languages and avant-garde production styles.

South Asian music is experiencing a surge in global attention, with artists producing genre-defying work. However, gaps remain in infrastructure and support for building international careers.

Dialled In Records aims to address this by providing a platform for artists to grow and reach wider audiences.

Dhruva Balram, Dialled In co-founder, said: “Dialled In has always been about building the infrastructure that South Asian artists deserve but have not always had.

“We started as a group of friends who believed South Asian creativity could command the global stage.

“Now, with Dialled In Records, we have the full ecosystem to make that happen: from artist development and live platforms to recorded music and international distribution.

“This isn’t a catalogue play. It’s a commitment.”

“To the producers pushing sound forward, from whichever corner of the world they find themselves in. To the voices that don’t fit neatly into someone else’s genre tag. To the scenes that have been building in the margins and are ready for the centre.

“Dialled In Records is a label built to give South Asian artists the home they’ve always deserved: one that speaks their language, understands their context, and backs their vision without compromise.”

The label’s launch marks a new phase for Dialled In, which has grown into a key platform for South Asian creativity in the UK over the past five years.

Co-founded by Ahadadream, alongside Ahsan-Elahi Shujaat, Dhruva Balram and Provhat Rahman, the platform has expanded into a wider cultural ecosystem.

It now spans live events, international touring, artist development and cross-border collaborations.
