Devoleena Bhattacharjee says Teacher ‘Misbehaved’ with Her

Devoleena Bhattacharjee has opened up on her childhood and revealed that her maths teacher misbehaved with her.

She explained that she wanted to file a police complaint.

However, she did not because her parents did not want to.

In a promotional video for Ladies Vs Gentlemen Season 2, Devoleena said of her teacher:

“He was a very good teacher there. Everyone would go to him for tuition. All the good students and two of my best friends also went to him for tuition.

“Suddenly, after one week, they (my friends) stopped going. They went for one week, but stopped after that.”

The TV actress went on to say that the teacher “misbehaved” with her.

“Then I went for tuitions and then he misbehaved with me. I went back home and told my mom.

“We went to sir’s house and complained to his wife.

“All that happened. But, I really wanted to take some strong action, because my two friends were there… perhaps it happened with them as well and then they left the tuitions.”

Devoleena shared what she believed were the reasons that her friends did not confide in her.

“They did not feel the need to inform me because they must have felt ‘what will society say? What will everyone say?’

“My family also thought the same, right? That is why they did not go to the police and did not take any strong action.”

“Today, I feel I must stand for myself and take action.”

Offering some advice for parents, Devoleena added:

“This is advice for society and all parents.

“Whenever your children are suffering or facing something like this, please, please. Please, take action.”

On the work front, she is known for playing Gopi Ahem Modi in the long-running soap Saath Nibhaana Saathiya.

Devoleena Bhattacharjee will now be entering Bigg Boss 15 as a wildcard and it looks as though she is not a fan of contestant Shamita Shetty.

Prior to entering the reality show, Devoleena, along with other wildcards Rashami Desai and Abhijit Bichukale spoke to the media and answered questions.

One reporter asked Devoleena: “Devoleena when the announcement was made, Shamita’s reaction was, ‘Who is she?'”

Devoleena slammed Shamita and replied:

“If both of us will stand together then my identity will be recognised individually but her identity will be recognised because of her sister.”
