“I have never taken part in any illegal activities."
A Sessions Court in the Pakistani province of Punjab has questioned the FIA probe against TikTok star Sandal Khattak.
On Thursday, January 16, 2020, Sandal filed a petition requesting a restraining order against the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
In her petition, Khattak asked the court to stop the FIA investigation against her.
Sandal explained: “The FIA has been harassing me. I was summoned for an inquiry on October 28 and November 5, without any knowledge of what the investigation is about.
She went on to request for all documents related to the investigation to be brought before the court.
The petition read: “I have not been told what the investigation is about. No reasons, allegations or details of the case have been shared with me.”
Sandal added: “I have never taken part in any illegal activities.
“I am an innocent citizen and the court should ask the FIA to stop harassing me.”
After hearing her statement and reading the petition, Additional Sessions Judge Misbah Khan scheduled a hearing for Tuesday, February 4, 2020.
He has also sent notices to the FIA asking for representatives of the agency to present themselves in court on the day.
Sandal Khattak and fellow TikTok celebrity Hareem Shah are alleged to be at the centre of an altercation that occurred between Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry and TV host Mubashir Lucman.
Chaudhry slapped Lucman at a wedding over alleged videos with Hareem.
Meanwhile, it has been alleged that there are several videos of Sandal with Punjab Information Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan.
Lucman had invited fellow anchor Rai Saqib Kharal. He claimed that there were several “indecent videos” circulating of Chaudhry with Hareem Shah.
Kharal went on to say that he had seen them.
Chaudhry was angered by the accusations and at the wedding of provincial minister Mohsin Leghari’s son, he confronted and slapped Lucman.
Following the reports, Chaudhry admitted that he slapped the TV host and later defended his actions.
On a TV show, Chaudhry stated:
“Ministries come and go.
“I will not tolerate personal attacks, we are all human beings and will react when someone makes such false allegations.”
The minister later called out Lucman, saying:
“People like Mubashir Lucman have nothing to do with journalism. “It is everyone’s duty to expose [such people].”
Hareem Shah has hit headlines for her alleged involvement with several ministers.
In December 2019, she shared an “indecent video call,” allegedly from a cabinet minister in which she can be seen speaking to Minister of Railways Sheikh Rasheed.
She was heard saying: “Listen to me, have I ever revealed anything of yours until now? Then why don’t you talk to me anymore?”
