Pakistani celebrities led the nation in marking its 78th Independence Day, joining millions in celebrations filled with pride, unity and hope.
The day began with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and 21 in provincial headquarters.
This was followed by prayers for the country’s prosperity and security.
Across social media, well-known figures shared heartfelt tributes to Pakistan, reflecting themes of sacrifice, resilience and a shared dream for a brighter future.
Dressed in green and white, many stars draped themselves in the national flag, using their platforms to inspire patriotism.
Aiman Khan posted a family portrait with Muneeb Butt and their daughter Amal holding the flag, captioned: “Long live Pakistan.”
She honoured Quaid-e-Azam’s legacy and the sacrifices made for freedom, wishing for peace, dignity and strength for the nation.
Nadia Hussain shared that her joy was mixed with sorrow over the plight of Palestinians.
Zhalay Sarhadi urged citizens to pair their celebrations with humility, civic duty and ethics.
The Pakistan Cricket Board also joined the festivities, releasing a video featuring Mohammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, Babar Azam and others.
Rizwan congratulated the people, while Salman encouraged keeping Pakistan clean.
Babar Azam reminded fans that this was the day the country’s identity was born.

Reema Khan and her husband shared their wishes, while Zubab Rana celebrated in traditional attire with a green dupatta.
She shared a picture of the national flag captioned “Pakistan Mubarak.”
Renowned singer Faakhir Mehmood uploaded the national classic ‘Ae Jawan’, while former Vital Signs member Rizwanul Haque paid tribute with ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’.
Ayeza Khan posted: “Pakistan Zindabad.
“May the winds of peace touch every corner of our homeland, may prosperity bloom in every heart.”

Mashal Khan expressed deep affection for her homeland, calling it her “mitti, home and love” and praying for divine protection.
Other Pakistani celebrities, including Dananeer Mobeen, Sahiba Afzal, Saba Faisal and Zainab Shabbir, also celebrated the day.
They all posted messages calling for unity and peace.
The celebrations, blending joy and reflection, highlighted the powerful role Pakistani celebrities play in uniting people during national occasions.
This year’s Independence Day became not only a commemoration of history but also a collective promise to build a stronger Pakistan.
