People from Pakistan celebrated the Independence Day of their country in style on August 14, 2016.
The Men in Green clinched a famous victory over England by ten wickets to square the four-match Test Cricket series 2-2.
Youus Khan scored a staggering 218 runs in the first innings. Easier Shah’s impressive dispatch of both James Vince and Joe Root ensured Pakistan’s victory with a day to spare.
Shoaib Akhtar was particularly impressed by the heroics of both players tweeting: “Super win by @TheRealPCB, inspirational stuff by Younis, Yasir, Asad and rest of d boys.
“What a win! What timing on Independence Day!”
Former Pakistan captain Imran Khan also came to the party as he tweeted: “Congratulations to Misbah & Pak team, esp Younis for a great victory.
“This is a wonderful morale-boosting Independence Day gift to the nation.”

The triumphant players celebrated with a lap of honour, as the fans reacted with jubilations on the streets of London and Pakistan.
After losing the third test against England by 141 runs, it was a very sweet day for Pakistan to level the series at the Kia Oval on such a memorable day.
To level the series was a remarkable achievement for Pakistan, especially as they have been deprived from international cricket at home.
David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd also took to Twitter to congratulate the opposition: “Back home. Really good series which captured the imagination, Pakistan an impressive group of men, well lead.”
Pakistan’s impeccable record of not losing a Test series in two years, could eventually take them to the No. 1 spot in the ICC Rankings.
Both teams deserved a final test decider after such a nail biting series. Pakistan took the lead at Lord’s, but England came back with a win at Old Trafford, courtesy of a double hundred from Joe Root.
England took a 2-1 series lead at Edgbaston, before Pakistan came back to the draw the series 2-2.
Pakistan will face Ireland in Dublin from August 18 to 20, 2016. They will take on England in the 1st ODI at the Rose Bowl, Southampton on August 24 ,2016.
