Chocolate entrepreneur Steve Rehmat Victor won an investment on Dragons’ Den to help him expand his business, which specialises in Ramadan gifts.

Steve, whose father moved to the UK from Pakistan, secured £40,000 from Sara Davies.

His business, My Chocolate Shop, was launched during the first national lockdown.

It creates quality products for key seasonal periods, such as Ramadan, Easter and Christmas.

The ‘Rehmat Chocolate’ range specialises in Ramadan confectionery and gifts, including Ramadan chocolate countdown calendars, luxury chocolate-coated dates, Eid truffles, alcohol-free bonbons, and protein chocolate dates and bars.

The ten designs of Ramadan chocolate countdown calendars were created in collaboration with a bestselling Islamic children’s book author to provide content for each window to keep children engaged during the month of Ramadan and were designed by an up-and-coming Muslim graphic designer.

Steve has worked with the likes of reality star Gemma Collins as well as Premier League teams like Brentford to produce customised items that resonate with their own target audiences.

He has always been a fan of Dragons’ Den and vowed to appear on the show when he felt the time was right.

When Steve realised he was onto something big with My Chocolate Shop, he set out to secure an investment in order to take his business to the next level.

He has now won a £40,000 investment, having impressed Sara with his pioneering ranges for the growing Muslim product marketplace.

Steve said: ”I’m thrilled to have Sara on board.

“Having read her book and studied her impressive track record, I knew that working with her would be an incredible opportunity.

“Despite having many years of experience in public speaking, going into the Dragons’ Den was extremely nerve-wracking.

“I felt like a rabbit in the headlights.

“However, I’d watched and rewatched previous shows, made sure I was well prepared and came out with a result I couldn’t be happier with.”

Sara invested £40,000 for a 30% share of the business.

She said:

“I was impressed with Steve’s ability to come up with ideas that are commercially brilliant.”

“Everybody loves great quality chocolate, and My Chocolate Shop pulls out all the stops to make sure it’s accessible to everyone.

“I can’t wait to see what Steve and his team do next!”

Steve is now working with internet personality and co-founder of Prime energy drinks KSI to produce a new chocolate flavour.
