A 33-year-old Bengaluru-based businessman has been found dead in the home of Kannada actor Krishi Thapanda.
Vaishak was discovered dead in Krishi’s RR Nagar residence on the night of June 24, 2026.
Reports state that he had contacted the actor and left her messages claiming he intended suicide.
The police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of the businessman.
Krishi Thapanda is a Kannada actor and model who was also a contestant on Bigg Boss Kannada.
According to police reports, Vaishak was a resident of Girinagar in Bengaluru originally.
He had been staying in an apartment in RR Nagar for the last few days before his death.
He was reportedly alone at Krishi’s apartment at the time of the tragic incident that night.
Police have found no suicide note or video message left behind by Vaishak at the residence.
The businessman had called Krishi before the incident, but she was unable to answer his call immediately.
Krishi was away in Nelamangala at the time when Vaishak reached out to her.
He reportedly sent her multiple messages indicating that he was taking his own life deliberately.
After noticing the distressing messages, the actor immediately alerted his family members about the situation.
His family rushed to the apartment where he was staying after receiving the alert from Krishi.
However, Vaishak was found dead by the time his family members reached the apartment location.
His father subsequently filed a formal complaint with the police regarding the incident and death.
The police have registered a case of unnatural death and have begun a thorough investigation process.
Vaishak was reportedly under police scrutiny earlier this year for an alleged extortion case.
A businessman named Aravind Reddy was allegedly sent a threatening letter through a courier service.
The letter allegedly demanded several crores of rupees from the businessman in extortion.
It also warned of serious consequences if the demands were not met immediately.
Following Aravind’s complaint, a case was registered against the perpetrators by the police.
Vaishak was arrested in connection with the alleged extortion and threat case at that time.
He was later released on bail, but remained under police scrutiny for the alleged crime.
Krishi Thapanda has yet to release a formal statement to the press regarding the incident and death.
The actor has remained silent on the matter, likely given the sensitive and tragic nature of events.
