A video has gone viral of Donald Trump dancing to ‘Malhari’ from the 2015 film Bajirao Mastani, which starred Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.

The funny video was shared by Dan Scavino, the White House’s director of social media and assistant to the President.

The original dance sequence, which had Ranveer performing, was important in the story. It was seen as the victory dance after Ranveer’s character, Peshwa Bajirao, celebrated one of many victories with his soldiers.

In this version, President Trump’s face has been superimposed onto Ranveer’s face and is seen ‘performing’ the high-energy dance number.

Mr Scavino wrote alongside the video:

“By no means do I intend to drive the haters crazy today – but after such an awesome week, let’s wrap it up with another great day.”

Mr Scavino included the Keep America Great (KAG) hashtag which is Trump’s slogan for the 2020 election. The video has received over 700,000 views.

The video was enjoyed by a lot of Mr Scavino’s followers as one wrote:

“I never get tired of watching it.”

Another posted:

“Every time this pops up I can’t help watching it at least five times. Best ever.”

A lot of social media users do not mind seeing it over and over again. Some even have felt that the Trump version is better than Ranveer’s original.

On the work front, Ranveer Singh was in Southall, London, shooting for an advert.

His appearance resulted in hundreds of fans turning up to catch a glimpse of the actor.

The crowd frenzy caused the area to be brought to a standstill. Residents have said that it is something that has never happened before.

One person explained that the production team had made security plans but did not anticipate the huge number of people.

Mid-Day reported that because there were so many people at the location, the team decided to include the crowd in the ad.

An eyewitness said: “Ranveer was super calm despite the pandemonium, spreading his usual charm and cheer amongst the locals who came in hordes to see him.

“Very few actors have the ability to handle crowds the way Ranveer does!

“He was seen ensuring women, children and the elderly don’t get pushed around in the chaos. He told the security to ensure their safety.”
