"I'm very happy and proud of myself."
Nine-year-old dancer Binita Chetry had been a favourite to win Britain’s Got Talent 2025.
However, the results of the live final showed that Binita missed out on winning the competition.
The final aired on ITV on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
Binita Chetry is originally from Assam, India, and she dazzled the judges and viewers alike when she showcased her terrific dancing skills in her first audition.
Her performance during the final was no different. Alesha Dixon commented:
“Which planet are you from, because you’re not from Planet Earth!
“Honestly, what you do is exquisite. I love you and have had so many messages from people about you.
“I think you’re in for a great chance of winning tonight, Binita. Congratulations!”
Amanda Holden added: “When I look at you, I hope Marvel or some massive franchise is looking at you, because you’re a superhero.
“Every time you do something, I think, ‘There’s no way she’s going to better that’.
“It was unbelievable! Honestly, darling, well done.”
Bruno Tonioli enthused: “My fierce little tiger! She gets stronger every time she goes onstage, unleashing the power of dance.
“That’s what dance is. It comes from your heart, gut, and hard work. People love you for it, my darling!”
Simon Cowell said: “You are so sweet and yet you have this unbelievable strength when you perform.
“You’ve got to remember, to be that good, you’ve got to put in a lot of work.
“In my opinion, after that, I think you’ve got a shot at winning the entire competition, and you deserve it.”
Ultimately, Binita Chetry did not win the show, with magician Harry Moulding taking home the crown.
Moulding won £250,000 and earned a chance to perform at the Royal Variety Show 2025.
Meanwhile, the Swiss LED dance group, The Blackouts, were declared the runner-up act.
Speaking about her time in the show, Binita Chetry reflected: “I’m very happy and proud of myself.
“It’s the best experience.”
However, some fans declared that Binita deserved to win the show.
One person commented: “Aw, I loved the young dancer.”
Another wrote: “[Harry] seems like a lovely, polite guy. But he didn’t deserve to win.
“Really wanted and hoped for Binita.”
The final of Britain’s Got Talent 2025 was filled with unexpected events such as Bruno accidentally using profanity on air.
Hosts Ant and Dec also announced that Olly Pearson was not ready to perform when it was his turn, though he appeared onstage shortly afterwards.
She may not have won Britain’s Got Talent, but Binita Chetry has certainly done India proud through her amazing dancing.
