As Bollywood stars came together to celebrate their achievements at the 64th Filmfare Awards 2019, we take a look at the best dressed ones of the night.

The 64th Vimal Elaichi Filmfare Awards 2019 took place in Mumbai, India, on the evening of March 23, 2019, attracting the presence of some of the biggest names in Bollywood

As with major awards ceremonies of this kind, it also was the platform for actors and actresses attending to present their varied and glamorous looks.

The 2019 awards saw, actresses mainly opting for long and form-fitting gowns and dresses, while the men chose tailored black-tie suits with some dazzle.

Every celebrity brought their own individual looks to the ceremony, no doubt supported by their favourite designers and style teams.

Alia Bhatt

Best-Dressed-Filmfare 2019 - Alia Bhatt

Winner of the Best Actor (Female) category for her role in Raazi, Alia Bhatt looked totally gorgeous on the red carpet in this stunning charcoal form-fitting gown.

With a strapless style, Alia oozed feminity and sparkled with the sequined work on the outfit, just like the starlet she is in Bollywood.

The intricate work on this dress worn by Alia really gave a ‘princess look’ accompanied by her hairstyle tied in a lovely bun.

The tailored to fit gown gave Alia the perfect look for the ceremony.

Sara Ali Khan

Best-Dressed-Filmfare 2019 - Sara Ali Khan

Bollywood newcomer, Sara Ali Khan attended the 2019 Filmfare awards looking majestic in an eye-catching and fetching lehenga outfit. Keeping it Desi.

As the winner of the Best Debut Actor (Female) award, Sara looked stunning and humble at the same time in this pastel cream and gold outfit on the red carpet.

The gold embroidery on the bottom of the lehenga is simply stunning.

Her top is simple and finished with a lovely light flowing dupatta featuring a thick and wide border in gold finished the look wonderfully.

The young actress looked beautiful and limited her jewellery to two shimmering studs and open locks.

Karan Johar

Best-Dressed-Filmfare 2019 - Karan Johar

Bollywood producer and director extraordinaire, Karan Johar did not disappoint at the Filmfare Awards 2019.

He dressed up in a dapper outfit which made him look the icon he is.

Wearing a large black bow with a white shirt, it was his jacket that wowed onlookers.

A stunning piece in black with gallant and bold embroidery of stars, words and pattern in silver threading.

Finished off with tapered black trousers and smart shoes, and matching glasses, Karan looked his true flamboyant self.

Katrina Kaif

Best-Dressed-Filmfare 2019 - Katrina Kaif

One of Bollywood’s hugely loved icons, Katrina Kaif, grabbed camera clicks and eyeballs non-stop in this stunner of a gown with a tail by Falguni Shane Peacock.

This pastel outfit pronouncing hints of blue and grey was a perfect choice.

The strap based upper part featuring intricate sequined flowers all over it look a marvel. They then strikingly flow into sliver threaded embroidery.

The lines of the design carry on seamlessly onto the tail of the outfit.

With simple makeup, her hair open and long earrings to accompany the outfit, Katrina looked award-winning in her own way.

Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor, Bollywood’s fashionista, always likes to make a statement with her attire, and she certainly brought colour to the Filmfare Awards 2019.

This tailored to perfection bright pink mermaid dress has designer written all over it.

Sonam certainly pushed the boundaries with the cut and style of dress. The accentuation of the bust at the top and outline of her curves all the way down give the actress a gorgeous look.

The large flaps on her arms and the lower layered frock just below her knees of the trumpet design add the flair.

Sonam definitely pulled off the look to be different on the night and also possibly being the most bright and colourful too!

Ranbir Kapoor

Best-Dressed-Filmfare 2019 - Ranbir Kapoor

Winner of the Best Actor (Male) Filmfare Award for 2019, Ranbir Kapoor came to the ceremony looking stylish and neat.

He wore a very smart tailored three-piece navy blue suit, accompanied with a bow tie and white shirt.

With a finishing touch of a white handkerchief in the jacket’s top pocket and smart black shoes, Ranbir looked a total winner.

Mouni Roy

Best-Dressed-Filmfare 2019 - Mouni Roy

Mouni Roy is known for her vibrancy and stylish fashion. For the Filmfare Awards 2019, she graced the red carpet in a striking long pleated black dress.

The gorgeous black dress sparkled with silver sequins all over.

These carry on all the way up to the stylish straps of the outfit, giving the Made in China star a lovely dazzle.

With her hair styled to one side and makeup to match with deep red lipstick, Mouni looked beautiful.

Ranveer Singh

 

Best-Dressed-Filmfare 2019 - Ranveer Singh

When it comes to loud and bold designs of male attire, Ranveer Singh is your man.

The actor won the Best Supporting Actor award for his role in Padmavaat and also was part of the entertainment on the stage of the awards show.

He attended the red carpet in a remarkable outfit. The dark jacket and shirt donned a mesmerising yellow and gold floral pattern.

Half of the shoulders and arms of the jacket boast a white background while still maintaining the floral design. With the shirt, he added a black bow. 

Paired with skinny black trousers black loafers as his footwear, Ranveer definitely could not be missed at the event.

Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone graced the red carpet in a stylish and conservative black streamer and tail dress.

With a gorgeous neckline and style of straps, she beamed at the event in the outfit with the persona of the Bollywood star that she is.

She presented hubby Ranveer Singh with his award on the stage at the ceremony.

Sai Tamhankar

Sai Tamhankar star of Love Sonia attended the Filmfare Awards 2019 in a gorgeous light teal coloured designer sundress with a stylish sheer cloth tail.

The tight-fitting short dress pronounced Sai’s curves wonderfully.

The straps tied at the top behind her neck, nicely lift the front of the dress.

The large sheer see-through tail adds a great touch to the style of the outfit giving it a more designer look.

Sai probably wore the shortest dress of the night but carried it exceptionally well.

Urvashi Rautela

The Hate Story IV Bollywood star wowed onlookers on the Filmfare Awards 2019 red carpet in her adorable red ball gown.

Stunningly the outfit fitted her like a glove. The intricate silver sequins all over the dress sparkled gorgeously on the actress.

The right strap of the dress on the front above her bust has a lovely pattern of red roses covering it.

With her hair tied up neatly and matching makeup, she looked a million dollars.

Kiara Advani

Kiara Advani always looks very stylish at events and the Lust Stories star did not disappoint at the Filmfare event either.

Wearing a beautifully designed bustle style purple dress she looked incredible.

The strapless attire fitted her gorgeously and it was the bottom part of the dress that caught everyone’s attention.

The folds going all around, fanning out, gave the dress a very suave look with the middle changing into plain dark blue provided an excellent contrast of colours.

One of the most extravagant dresses seen on the red carpet for sure!

Bollywood showed up to the 64th Filmfare Awards 2018 and impressed us with their style choices.
