"Dude, stop spreading NEGATIVITY!"

Actor Ameesha Patel recently slammed stand-up comedian Zakir Khan for his comments regarding the success of Dhurandhar.

The comedian claimed at the Screen Awards that the Hindi film industry is currently feeling very shaken and jealous.

Zakir stated that while stars post congratulations, the truth remains that the massive success of the movie really hurts.

He specifically noted that “Kitne hi congratulatory post aap daal de, kitne hi story daalde, kitne hi interview mein aap bolde my favourite film, magar sach toh yeh hai ke Dhurandhar se sabki jali toh hai.”

He also joked: “Bomb film mein foote lyari mein par dhuan udaa hai Bandra se Juhu mein.”

Ameesha Patel took to her social media account on X to express her disappointment with the comedian’s viral joke.

She told him: “Dude, stop spreading NEGATIVITY! Film industry has valued and respected DHURANDHAR!

“Superstars like SRK, Salman, Sunny, Hrithik, Ajay, etc. have given not just 1 but 25 plus mega hits and will continue to do so.

“Chill. Gadar bahut saalon se sabne already machai hain aur aage bhi machaayenge.”

Director Siddharth Anand also criticised Zakir by saying that people from Bandra and Juhu have given several huge hits.

The filmmaker stated: “Juhu Bandra peeps have given all ATBBs since the past 50 years.

“You have to be a real duffer to undermine their contribution.”

Interestingly, Ameesha Patel had previously praised the movie for its quality and the casting choices made by the director.

She said: “Eye opener. Industry Praising DHURANDHAR is wow, and the brand deserves all the accolades industry needs to realise that ADITYA made a film and not a project, casted actors and not Instagrammers who trend at parties.

“Stop making projects and start making films.”

Many other celebrities like Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal have also shared their love for this record-breaking film.

Filmmaker Karan Johar joined the group of stars who appreciated the vision and the hard work of Aditya Dhar.

The viral clip of Zakir Khan at the awards show sparked a massive debate among fans on several platforms.

Some people believe that the comedian was just making a harmless joke, while others feel it was quite disrespectful.

Zakir Khan has not yet responded to the direct criticisms made by Ameesha Patel or Siddharth Anand.

Many fans are curious to see if other Bollywood stars will weigh in on this growing controversy on social media.
