"But yes, if offered Gadar 3, I will surely only do it"
Ameesha Patel revealed she would star in Gadar 3 under one condition.
The actress was last seen in the 2023 blockbuster Gadar 2.
Since the film’s release, there have been rumours of a third instalment.
During an Ask Me Anything session with fans, Ameesha addressed the prospect of a sequel and revealed she would do it under one condition.
A fan tweeted: “In Gadar 3, can your screen time be increased please?
“I genuinely slept in scenes when you were not on screen. I visit theatres with my hard-earned money to see you.”
Responding to the fan, Ameesha said:
“Firstly… Gadar 2 was a great film and the screenplay was executed as per the script; it’s very important to keep that as a top priority if you want your film to be loved.
“As an actor, one can’t be selfish and must keep the film before our needs.
“I love Sakeena and I value the love of you all have towards Sakeena.”
Explaining what it would take to reprise her role as Sakeena for a third time, she added:
“But yes, if offered Gadar 3, I will surely only do it if I’m superrrr happy with the script, as I was in Gadar 1.”

Ameesha Patel previously spoke about the possibility of a sequel to Gadar 2.
She said: “If Gadar 3 is offered to me, there would be conditions.
“Because there was a lot of creative discomfort that Sunny and I both had and the journey was not an easy one.
“We both did a lot of editing, re-shooting.
“We both had a lot of creative discussions and arguments with our director to make the Gadar brand ultimately as we see on the big screen.
“Sunny and me were almost like semi-ghost directors on that.”
“The film was taken to another direction which we had to draw back because the Gadar brand was always Sakeena and Tara.”
Ameesha added that her business partner Kunal Goomer had stepped in for the film.
She continued: “Gadar 2 was actually going to be gutter.
“If Kunal Goomer had not stepped in, alerted even Sunny that these things have gone wrong – ‘when you go for the action schedule, please correct certain things’.
“Sunny was alerted, started correcting the action, the edits.
“There were a lot of disputes because there was another hidden agenda that was there with Mr Anil Sharma and he was deviating from making Gadar.”
