Chandrika Dixit is one of the contestants on Bigg Boss OTT 3 and she revealed her daily earnings.
Better known as Vada Pav Girl, Chandrika is known for selling the famous street food in Delhi.
It has turned her into an internet sensation, boasting 395,000 Instagram followers.
Bigg Boss OTT 3 launched on June 21, 2024, and whilst sitting with her fellow contestants, Chandrika spoke about her viral street food and revealed that she earns Rs. 40,000 (£380) per day selling vada pav.
Sana Makbul said: “She is running her business…”
Chandrika then chimed in: “Forty thousand. Yes, earning Rs. 40,000 per day.”
This shocked her fellow contestants and TikToker Shivani Kumari asked:
“Rs. 40,000 per day?”
Chandrika explained: “I am working very hard. I am earning. You also earn.
“Don’t use your smartphones, don’t use Netflix. Get up and go outside and do it yourself.”
Prior to entering Bigg Boss OTT 3, Chandrika Dixit faced accusations of creating “drama” to gain attention.
In response to the accusations, she said:
“I am just keeping my point of view; there is nothing like that.
“I was running my cart two years ago too and could have done things to gain attention back then when I started and needed money…
“If people think it is planned… then I want this to happen because I want to go really ahead in life.”
Explaining that there is a misconception that an influencer’s life is easy, Chandrika said:
“But one has to work hard night and day to make one small reel.
“Even if we are upset, we have to have a fake smile in front of the camera. It is not easy at all. I live that life now and realise it is hard.
“Earlier, I used to think how tough can this really be – all I have to do is dance for the camera and get famous. But it is tremendously hard work.
“Everyone is doing something for their family.”

On joining the reality show, she continued:
“The opportunity I have got is big; I will do it well, and the reason for doing it is because of the hard work we are doing for our family.
“It is for a great future for my son. I think I will get help from this.
“I will get to know inside only. I have no plans from before. I have always heard my elders say that never plan, as it never happens.
“So, I will do what I will face spontaneously.”
“People think that Chandrika has a lot of attitude and fights a lot, probably they will get to know something else about me when they see me there.”
