Lopez took to the stage after the couple exchanged vows
Jennifer Lopez performed at the lavish wedding of billionaire heiress Netra Mantena and tech entrepreneur Vamsi Gadiraju in Udaipur.
Netra is the daughter of Rama Raju Mantena, the Chairman and CEO of Ingenus Pharmaceuticals. Her husband Vamsi is the co-founder and CTO of Superorder and a recent Forbes 30 Under 30 honouree.
Their four-day wedding celebrations were one of the most talked-about events of the year, and Lopez’s appearance was central to the spectacle.
For her performance, Lopez pocketed a staggering $2 million.
The wedding celebrations began on November 20 and stretched across some of Udaipur’s most iconic venues.
The Leela Palace, Zenana Mahal and Jagmandir Island Palace all played host to different parts of the schedule. DJ Tiesto opened the event with a high-energy set that set the tone for a weekend of lavish entertainment.
Sangeet and mehendi ceremonies followed on November 21 and 22.
Lopez took to the stage after the couple exchanged vows on November 23, delivering a performance that blended Hollywood glamour with the grandeur of the setting.
The wedding was believed to have cost $6.7 million.
Bollywood stars filled the guest list, with Dia Mirza, Ranveer Singh, Sophie Choudry, Ram Charan and Nora Fatehi all in attendance.
Western guests included Donald Trump Jr and his girlfriend Bettina Anderson. The pair attended every event in full traditional attire and were even spotted dancing on stage.
Trump Jr wore a navy sherwani, while Anderson opted for a glittering lehenga-choli.
Footage from the sangeet showed Ranveer Singh pulling the couple into an impromptu dance.
The wedding became a social-media sensation due to its scale and attention to detail.
One of the most striking features was an all-white wedding cake shaped like a miniature palace. It featured domes, elephants, lions, peacocks and cascading flowers.
Paris-based luxury cake artist Bastien Blanc-Tailleu designed the structure.
The creation included jharokas, chhatris and carvings, with stepped entrances and tiny silver balls that made it look almost too perfect to cut.
Jennifer Lopez delivered both spectacle and style. She arrived at the ceremony wearing a sparkling pale-pink saree before switching into a series of stage outfits.
Her first look was a black cut-out bodysuit that she wore as she launched into ‘Waiting for Tonight’ and ‘Get Right’.
She later changed into a golden ensemble with a matching jacket. For her final look, she appeared in a bejewelled bodysuit and crystal-covered knee-high boots.
One clip posted to X showed her toasting the newlyweds.
As she raised her glass on stage, Lopez said: “May these families be united on this gorgeous day, and God bless us all.”
However, not all reactions were positive.
According to reports, some critics called the wedding’s extravagance a “sheer wastage of money”.
Jennifer Lopez’s performance also drew comment after the plunging neckline of her leotard almost resulted in a wardrobe malfunction.
She later wore a semi-sheer black bodysuit with a G-string back, which sparked another wave of online reaction.
