Alia Bhatt's Time to be a Hero Dawns in 'Jigra' Teaser- F

"It's the time to be nothing but a hero."

Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film Jigra is an anticipated film for millions of fans.

On September 8, 2024, the film’s teaser was released, showing Alia as Satya.

Satya is a young woman who faces a dangerous mission.

She must free her brother from a foreign prison and prove herself to be a hero in the process.

The teaser of Jigra opens with Alia sitting in a restaurant.

She is visibly despondent as she says: “God took my mother. Dad took his own life.

“Distant relatives gave us shelter and then we paid massive rent for it.

“Let it be, Mr Bhatia. It’s a very long story and my brother has very little time.”

The person on the other side of the table replies: “Very little? In that case, let’s blow up the damn prison walls.”

Satya chuckles as a recreated version of Kishore Kumar’s chartbuster, ‘Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka‘ starts playing over the teaser.

The teaser goes on to show dramatic and emotional scenes including Satya repeatedly slapping a man.

Someone draws a knife on her and she stands alone in an empty market.

Later in the teaser of Jigra, Satya also appears to get shot and cuts herself with a knife.

A man tells her: “It’s time to run – not to be a hero.”

Satya defiantly replies: “It’s the time to be nothing but a hero.”

She is also seen visiting her incarcerated brother who is played by Vedang Raina.

Touching scenes show their loving relationship, suggesting that Jigra is a moving brother-sister drama at its core.

The teaser attracted positive reactions from fans.

One user commented: “10 years back when I watched Highway, I predicted that Alia would rule the industry.

“I am thankful to her that she has not let me down. Proud of you. Best wishes for the future.”

Another fan said: “Alia’s progression as an actress is really visible. She knows where to put emotions.

“I feel that this movie is going to be a promising one.”

In a previous interview, Alia revealed that motherhood played a part in her committing to Jigra.

She said: “The time when Jigra came to me, I was going through my most tigress, protective phase.

“It is possibly why I went mad about the material. It really, really spoke to me.

“Maybe it would have spoken to me prior as well, but it spoke to me very differently. It hit a different chord.

“Maybe something else must have come out of that.

“It is not like I can measure or mould that, but motherhood does make a difference.”

In November 2022, Alia became a mother when she gave birth to her daughter Raha with her husband Ranbir Kapoor.

The film is directed by Vasan Bala and is scheduled to be released on October 11, 2024.

Apart from Jigra, Alia Bhatt also has Alpha on the cards in which she will become the first actress to lead a YRF Spy Universe film.

Alia will also star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
