Alia Bhatt has reacted to reports that she is set to tie the knot with her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor in early 2022.
Rumours have been circulating that the couple is set to get married in the first half of the upcoming year.
Alia and Ranbir reportedly started dating in 2018.
Ranbir confirmed his relationship with Alia in 2020 when he referred to her as his girlfriend.
The actor also said that if it was not for the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, they would have been married.
When asked by fans about her wedding date, Alia Bhatt gave a cryptic response during her latest YouTube video.
In a video shared on her YouTube channel, Alia gave her fans a glimpse of what a day in her life looks like.
The actress said that she gets “shy” because she does not want to flaunt how busy she is.
The video began with Alia driving to a studio to shoot for an advertisement for a mattress brand with her best friend Akansha Ranjan Kapoor.
Alia revealed that she woke up at 5 am and worked out before leaving for the shoot.
During the video, Alia also answered questions sent in by fans.
The first question was about what inspires her.
Alia said: “Two things. My own dreams for myself inspire me every day to work harder and harder.
“That’s one part of it, the work part of it.
“And people in my life – my team, my friends, my family, my loved ones – inspire me every day to be a better person just with their compassion, kindness and love.”
On being asked about her current phone wallpaper, Alia turned her phone towards the camera to reveal a picture of her and her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.
The final question that Alia addressed was one that “about a hundred people” asked her – when she is getting married.
Without giving a direct answer, the actress simply shrugged.
It was earlier reported that the pair were to wed in November 2021 at a resort in Rajasthan.
However, new reports suggest that the couple will get married in the summer of 2022 after wrapping up their professional commitments.
Fans of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will get to see them share screen space in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra.
Other than Brahmastra, Ranbir Kapoor has Shamshera, co-starring Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt, lined up.
The actor will also star in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, with Anil Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra.
Alia will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and SS Rajamouli’s RRR.
She will also star in Darlings, which she is producing.
