Has Ranbir Kapoor & Alia Bhatt’s Wedding been Postponed?

There is a lot of hype around Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s wedding, however, there are rumours that it has now been postponed.

It had been reported that the wedding would be a two-day ceremony, with it happening on April 13 and 14, 2022.

Preparations were well underway, from Ranbir’s ancestral RK House being decorated to the wedding menu and outfits.

But the wedding has now reportedly been postponed.

According to Alia’s stepbrother Rahul Bhatt, the wedding will now happen on April 20, citing security concerns.

He said: “The wedding is happening, it is known to all. But there is no wedding on April 13 or 14. That is a sure thing.

“Actually, the dates earlier were the same, but after the information was leaked to the media, the dates were changed.

“Everything has been changed because there’s a lot of pressure.

“I give my word that there’s no wedding on April 13 or 14.

“As far as I know, there will be an announcement regarding the date soon.”

Rahul previously claimed that he has been invited to the wedding and will be a “bouncer”.

He said: “Yes, the wedding is happening and I have been invited.

“I will be there for the ceremonies. However, I am not going to sing and dance. I am a gym instructor by profession and I will be there in the capacity of a bouncer. I will be the rakshak at the wedding.”

Rahul also revealed that the wedding will be low-key, with just 28 guests attending.

Meanwhile, 200 security guards will be at the wedding.

Rahul continued: “Yusuf Bhai has taken over the security of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s wedding.

“He has Mumbai’s best security force – 9/11 agency. He has been hired for the same. Around 200 bouncers have been called from this agency. 10 boys from my team will also be sent.”

Rahul claimed that guards will be deployed both at RK House and Vastu.

“I will also look after the security and fulfil the duty of a brother.”

While the wedding is heavily rumoured to happen soon, Alia’s father Mahesh Bhatt refused to speak about the matter.

When asked about the wedding dates, he said he had been asked by Neetu Kapoor not to talk in public about it.

Ranbir and Alia began dating in 2018 and they made their first appearance as a couple at Sonam Kapoor’s wedding reception.

They will share the screen for the first time in Brahmastra.
