“I had a completely arranged marriage"
In a recent interview with Ahsan Khan, Ali Ansari revealed that Saboor Aly tried to set him up with her friends before they made things official.
Ali Ansari and Saboor Aly tied the knot in an intimate Nikkah ceremony on January 7, 2022.
The duo was joined by their friends and family including Saboor’s elder sister Sajal, Aiman Khan, Minal Khan, Mansha Pasha and Ahsan Mohsin Ikram.
Joined by his sister Mariam on Time Out with Ahsan Khan, the actress revealed:
“Actually she tried to set me up with her friends.”
He further revealed that he and Saboor Aly were initially not romantically involved with each other.
Ali added that he and Saboor are still good friends even after getting married implying that their friendship is still strong.
Talking about his marriage, Ali said: “I had a completely arranged marriage if I tell you truly.
“It is astonishing for many as people don’t believe it.
“There were two people, Mariam from my side and Sajal from Saboor’s side who made us meet.”
Ali’s sister Mariam joined the conversation and added that she had been trying to pair him with Saboor for a long time.
Mariam also said that she regularly asked Saboor Aly to marry her brother.
She proposed the idea once again at which point Sajal Aly joined in and nudged her sister to meet Ali.
Mariam Ansari said: “With her, she is such a nice person. Our energies match and I just vibe with her very well.
“And then, Sajal came and she kind of instigated it.”
When asked what he has learnt about Saboor since getting married, Ali said:
“She is extremely caring. I have never met someone as caring as her.”
“She will go out of her way for others.”
In other news, Ali Ansari and Saboor Aly recently faced criticism for their displays of affection during their wedding.
Many accused Saboor of “doing too much” in her wedding photos.
In some of the pictures, Ali Ansari could be seen kissing his wife on the forehead.
In another picture from the newlyweds’ Shendi function, Saboor could be seen kissing Ali.
Some netizens were less than impressed with the couple’s behaviour and took to social media to share their thoughts.
One user wrote: “We get it, you’re in love but Saboor is doing too much.”
Before making things official with Saboor, Ali Ansari had dated Mashal Khan but they ended their relationship after a very short time.
