Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is set for a role in Hollywood after being approached for an upcoming film.
She is one of Bollywood’s most recognised actresses but has also had a number of roles in Western cinema. Aishwarya starred in Bride & Prejudice (2004) as well as the 2009 film The Pink Panther 2.
As a successful actress, it is no surprise that Aishwarya gets approached for many Hollywood projects.
Rumours about her starring in a Hollywood film have circulated once again as she has approached for an upcoming film and she is thinking about doing it.
She seems to be interested in the project and currently trying to get it sorted out according to a source.
The source stated: “Aishwarya has expressed interest in this Hollywood project. Paperwork is in process. Hopefully, if things go well, an announcement is expected by the year-end.”
It looks like Aishwarya wants to be in the film as she has even hired a team to help secure the deal.
Another source added:
“Aishwarya has hired a team who is helping her with the deal in Hollywood. She is quite gung ho about this.”
This is exciting for Aishwarya’s fans who cannot wait for her to make a return to western cinema.
Aishwarya was last seen alongside Rajkummar Rao in Fanney Khan in 2018. Though the film did not bring huge success, Aishwarya’s performance was praised.
There had been reports of her and her husband Abhishek Bachchan reuniting on the big screen in Gulab Jamun.
Though they had signed to do the film, it was supposedly axed because the romance angle did not suit the couple. It is not known if the film has been permanently shelved.
Even though Gulab Jamun did not go ahead, there has been speculation that Aishwarya will star alongside her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan.
In an interview, she spoke about her upcoming projects and referred to one as “wonderful“.
It got fans excited as it has been rumoured that the “wonderful” film is Mani Ratnam’s historical drama which will be based on the Baahubali franchise.
Despite there being no official confirmation, Amitabh is set to star in an important role.
If Aishwarya does secure the Hollywood role then it looks like her filming schedule will be a busy one.
