Affan Waheed and Sonya Hussyn are set to share screen space in their upcoming film Rafi: The Untold Story.
Directed by Kamran Faiq, the film is believed to be a biopic on Pakistani nuclear physicist Dr Rafi Muhammad Chaudhry.
The pairing of Affan and Sonya has created a frenzy among their fans, as both are considered to be in the top tier of Pakistani actors.
Both actors are known to do justice to their characters, and as a result, are believed to be the perfect pairing for this biopic.
The film shows promise of taking its audience on an enlightening journey of remarkable achievements obtained by a national hero.
Outlining the film, Affan said: “The film is about Dr Rafi. It’s a movie set in the 1940s, but I don’t know how much information we can reveal.
“Rangri, Urdu and English are all spoken here. It will examine how a Muslim scientist found success despite societal upheaval.”
Affan posted a number of images of his upcoming movie on Instagram.
The photographs show him in character, dressed smartly in a suit and tie, staring intently at a piece of paper.
The images have received many compliments, and fans have expressed excitement to see Affan on their screens again.

The film is about RM Chaudhry, a well-known nuclear physicist and professor at the Government College University in Pakistan.
His students went on to make their careers in physics following his guidance. Dr Rafi is considered to be one of the patriarchs of experimental nuclear physics in Pakistan.
Former pupil Dr Samar Mubarakmand referred to his former educator as the “true father of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons program”.
Affan Waheed made his acting debut in the early 2000s and quickly became one of the most popular actors in the entertainment industry.
He has worked with actors such as Iqra Aziz, Hira Mani, Zara Noor Abbas and Sanam Jung.
He has acted in dramas such as Main Na Janoon, Do Bol, Khamoshi and Baydardi.
On the other hand, Sonya Hussyn carved her name in the industry and showed off her versatility with her variety of roles.
She received a lot of praise for her role as Hoorain in the drama serial Saraab, in which she portrayed the character of a schizophrenic individual, who was misunderstood for her mental health.
Although Rafi: The Untold Story is already creating a buzz on social media, no release date has yet been announced.
