"You can't even get the name of the college right."

A TikTok video shows a migrant claiming to have come to the UK to study, but failing to name his college correctly.

The video, posted by Caught In Action, shows the man in an interview room being questioned by a Border Force officer.

The officer asks: “Why have you come to the UK?”

The man responds that he came to study but names the institution as a business study school. The officer points out that his letters listed a school of management and science.

Caught out, the man claims he simply forgot the name. The officer replies: “Stop wasting my time.”

The questioning then moves to employment. The man insists he does not work in the UK.

The officer challenges him: “What did I say to you about lying to me? I know where you’re working. So tell me about 49 Taxi Company, yeah? That you work there as a driver.”

The migrant denies working there, but the officer continues: “You do work there. Okay, when did you stop working there?”

The man initially says: “I did 2-3 months ago, I did.”

When asked again, he admits he still works at the company. The officer clarifies that he works there full-time, and the man insists it is only part-time.

The officer presses further: “What are you doing in the UK because you’re not studying.

“You can’t even get the name of the college right.”

The migrant becomes confrontational, telling the officer to “stop” with the questions and adds:

“I am in a very bad situation.”

The exchange continues before the video ends with the officer instructing him to “calm down.”

In the comments section, some users accused the man of trying to scam the UK government and taxpayers.

One wrote: “These people are con artists, they scam the UK government, the people, the taxpayers and always cry poverty, that they sold all and came here blah blah blah.

“The same sob stories over and over again, don’t listen, don’t feel sorry, deport them straight away.”

Another added: “To scam the system.”

The video emerges amid heightened discussions on UK immigration. Home Office figures show that more than 41,000 people arrived in the UK by small boats in 2025.
