Fans revel in following their favourite celebrities as they go about their daily lives, whether it’s falling in love, getting married or an insight into their family life.
But when a celebrity reveals that they are expecting a child, fans rejoice in the news as they are ready to see them in a new role.
We look at the top five celebrity pregnancy announcements of the year so far.
Urwa Hocane
Urwa Hocane recently delighted her fan base by sharing a photograph with her husband Farhan Saeed in which she revealed that she was expecting the couple’s first child.
As the recent Lux Style Awards were due to take place, Urwa posted an image in which she matches Farhan in black outfits.
The photo was captioned: “It’s the three of us tonight.”
Urwa subtly cradled a baby bump as she joined heads with her husband.
Fans were especially elated to hear the news since there were speculations that the much-loved couple were headed for a divorce but neither Urwa nor Farhan spoke about the matter.
Fans expressed their happiness.
One fan said: “Best pregnancy announcement ever. No skin on show or vulgar photoshoots.”
Minal Khan
Minal Khan shocked fans when she uploaded a photograph of herself cradling her baby bump in August 2023.
The couple were the first to feature on the front page of Hello Pakistan to announce their pregnancy.
Fans went into a frenzy to learn that the actress was set to embrace motherhood.
Minal wrote: “Two hearts becoming three. The countdown to our little miracle baby has begun.”
Although many individuals came forward to congratulate the couple, there was a handful of people who were disappointed with the publicity and Minal was shamed for flaunting her baby bump.
Dr Urooj Fatima
Dr Urooj Fatima is a much-loved influencer who is a dentist by trade.
She is known for her fashion reels and was congratulated when she shared photos of her wedding to fellow dentist Mohammad Ali.
Urooj delighted her fans when she announced she was pregnant with her first child.
She shared a picture where she is seen leaning into Mohammad as he holds her stomach and she holds up a framed photograph of their baby scan.
Urooj said:
“We were terrified seeing those two lines and then we heard your heartbeat on the sonogram.”
“From wondering if you’re real to feeling you respond to our voices, we have fallen in love with you every passing second. Can’t wait to meet you little one.”
Sarwat Gilani
Like Urwa Hocane, Sarwat Gilani also revealed her pregnancy at the Lux Style Awards.
She shared a photo of her surrounded by her smiling friends all pointing towards her stomach.
Sarwat stated: “Couldn’t think of a better picture to announce our new arrival!
“Celebrating together the biggest joy of now and the future.”
This is Sarwat’s third child with her husband, fellow actor and plastic surgeon Fahad Mirza.
Neha Taseer
Model Neha Taseer stunned followers with photographs from an elegant photoshoot that saw her encased in a luxurious silk material that sat effortlessly on her baby bump.
She was deemed a goddess by singer Aima Baig and many commented that she made pregnancy look glamorous and wished her a safe delivery.
In another set of photos, Neha matched her husband Shahbaz in a black outfit, accentuating her baby bump and revealed that she had given birth to her second child.
