"I won't be able to make it to the UK"
Zayn fans have been left devastated as the former One Direction star cancelled a special gig the night before the show.
The singer was set to perform at Circuit, Kingston at 9 pm on April 13 for a special one-night-only show.
The event promised new tracks from his upcoming album KONNAKOL, followed by a Q&A session.
However, after falling “sick”, concert promoter Banquet Records announced that the show had been postponed.
They wrote on Instagram: “ZAYN POSTPONEMENT. Gutted to say Monday’s ZAYN events are postponed due to illness – we send our best wishes to him for a speedy recovery.
“We’ll be back to ticket holders later in the coming week. Thanks for your understanding and sorry again for the disappointment.
“You can read a message from Zayn below.”
Zayn’s message read: “I’m really sorry but unfortunately, I am sick and I won’t be able to make it to the UK this week as planned.
“We’re already in the process of trying to reschedule the Banquet Q&A and will be sharing new dates soon.
“Working on getting each of your info as well to send you something.
“Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Big Love xx Zayn.”
The organisers confirmed that fans unable to attend the rescheduled date could request a refund once it is announced, but urged ticket holders not to contact them before then.
They added: “Of course, if the events are cancelled, you will of course be refunded.”
Fans sent their well wishes to the star, though many expressed disappointment as they had already begun travelling to see him.
One wrote: “Currently in the airport lowkey sobbing; Literally at the airport 🙁 So sad. But of course, get well soon Zayn.”
Another posted:
“I’m already in London I spent so much money for the plane I’m so disappointed. Hope you feel better Zayn.”
A third added: “Get well soon Zayn, booked the flights and everything but PRAYING for a rescheduled date; Let’s hope Zayn recovers soon.”
The cancelled gig was expected to feature new tracks from Zayn’s upcoming album, KONNAKOL. Attendees would have participated in a Q&A and been treated to exclusive footage ahead of the album’s release.
Zayn also intended to take a large group photo with the audience, which would be printed as a poster for fans to purchase on the way out.
The postponement comes after Zayn announced his biggest solo tour ever, spanning 31 dates worldwide. The singer will headline arenas and stadiums across North America, South America, Mexico and the UK.
It marks a milestone step for Zayn, who previously cancelled live dates due to “extreme anxiety”.
The tour kicks off on May 12, 2026, at Manchester’s AO Arena, with stops in Glasgow and Birmingham before rounding off his only European shows this year at London’s The O2 on May 23, ahead of the UK Spring Bank Holiday.
Zayn will also perform in Los Angeles, Mexico City, São Paulo and more before concluding on November 20, in Miami, Florida.
Zayn’s fifth studio album, KONNAKOL, will be released on April 17, 2026.
