Zarah Sultana at Centre of £800k Donations Row

Zarah Sultana is embroiled in a row over £800,000 in donations. It is another row involving Your Party, the party she set up with Jeremy Corbyn.

“Zarah is working to transfer all funds"

The feud between Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana over the future of leftwing group Your Party has intensified, with both sides clashing over hundreds of thousands of pounds in donations.

Sultana reportedly offered to transfer £600,000 from a company set up by the party’s founders earlier in 2025.

However, allies of Corbyn rejected the offer and accused her of playing “political games” with supporters’ money.

The latest dispute follows months of tension between the two former Labour MPs, both seen as rivals to lead the new populist-left movement.

Their battle for control is expected to come to a head in the new year when Your Party holds a formal leadership contest.

The row focuses on donations and fees handled by MOU Operations Ltd, a company created while the party’s structure was being developed.

Your Party officials have demanded about £800,000 from the firm and have even threatened legal action to recover the money.

Sultana recently took sole control of MOU Operations.

On November 10, she offered to return £600,000, arguing that the remaining funds should be retained for potential legal or administrative costs. The proposal was quickly dismissed by Your Party officials.

A spokesperson for Sultana said: “Zarah is working to transfer all funds and data held by MOU Operations Ltd to Your Party.

“As sole director, she is legally responsible for ensuring the company’s costs, liabilities and expenses are settled, and this process may take some time.

“The first £200,000 is scheduled to be sent on 12 November. All remaining funds will be transferred once the company’s costs, expenses and liabilities are settled in full.”

According to sources, officials are preparing to formally reject Sultana’s offer. A spokesperson for Corbyn also declined to comment.

Party insiders claim Sultana should repay the full £850,000, which they say was raised by MOU Operations during the group’s early formation.

However, they reportedly do not wish to claim an additional £500,000 gathered after Sultana launched what they describe as an unauthorised membership portal on September 18.

Figures close to Corbyn suspect Sultana is holding back funds to bolster her campaign ahead of the leadership race. Her allies, meanwhile, insist that some money must remain untouched in case early donors seek refunds.

The timing of the dispute is sensitive, as Your Party prepares for its first national conference in Liverpool later this month.

Members are expected to approve a draft constitution and elect a 21-member executive committee.

Sultana’s camp reportedly hopes to transfer part of the money before the event to ensure it goes ahead without financial constraints.

The fallout between the two began in July when Sultana announced she was resigning from Labour to co-found Your Party alongside Corbyn.

Corbyn supporters reacted angrily, arguing that the former Labour leader was the only figure with the national reach to front a new leftwing movement.

Sultana’s backers, however, highlight her growing influence among younger voters and her strong digital presence. Her TikTok following, for example, stands at nearly 490,000, compared to Corbyn’s 280,000.
