"We are so excited to bring back the LAGAs again"
Jay’s Entertainment teaming up with DESIblitz is giving away a pair of tickets to attend the extravagant Leicester Asian Glitz Awards (LAGAs) taking place on Saturday, September 28, 2018.
The glitzy and star-studded event will be held at the prestigious De Montfort Hall in Leicester, attracting people from all over the UK.
The third annual LAGAs event will recognise the very best in art, media, and entertainment from Leicestershire. LAGAs founder Jay Kotak believes it is important to celebrate homegrown talent in the county.
Since 2017, Jay and his ardent team have successfully organised two LAGAs and are determined to put another fantastic show for the audience.
The red-carpet event will kick off at 6:45 pm with the presentation of many awards under various categories. You can expect a memorable evening of entertainment, with several performers hoping to enthrall the audience.
Three celebrity judges confirmed for the event will be flying all the way from India for this unmissable event. They include comedian Bharti Singh of Kapil Sharma Show fame, playback singer Aditya Narayan and host Sajid Khan.
Highlighting the event and new format, Jay Kotak exclusively told DESIblitz:
“We are so excited to bring back the LAGAs again for another year to celebrate the phenomenal talent and Asian arts in Leicestershire.
“Now we’ve got a new format and with top judges, Bharti Singh, Aditya Narayan and Sajid Khan joining us from the heart of Bollywood is a real testament to how great this awards ceremony is.
“De Monfort Hall is going to rock!”
In 2019, LAGAs will also be raising awareness for the charity, ‘Macmillan Cancer Support, helping to improve the lives of people affected by the disease.
Voting for the awards came to an end on September 21, 2019. There are eighteen categories up for grabs.
Key categories include Best Male Radio Presenter, Best Female Radio Presenter, Best Radio Presenter Newcomer, Journalist of the Year and Best Host.
Celebrating entertainment, finalists will be competing for Best Male Singer, Best Female Singer, Best Male Solo Dancer, Best Female Solo Dancer, Best Dance Group, Best Comedian, Best DJ, Best Sound & Lighting.
In addition, there will be a few special awards given including Broadcasting Excellence Award, Art Achievement Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, Leicester Community Award and Art Volunteer of the Year 2018/2019.
LAGAs 2019 will certainly be an unforgettable evening with plenty on offer for everyone.
