"I only have eyes for her."
Love Island 2025 was undeniably a controversial and intriguing series, shaping television events of the year in the UK.
The series featured the 22-year-old South Asian contestant Shakira Khan from Burnley, Lancashire.
Shakira became popular for her attitude in the Love Island villa, as well as her relationship with Harry Cooksley.
Despite his equation with Helena Ford, Harry’s pairing with Shakira proved successful.
It was recently announced that Shakira and Harry had both finished as runners-up of Love Island 2025.
Harry spoke about his relationship with Shakira and detailed whether he would ever make their bond exclusive.
He said: “No, we haven’t [labelled ourselves]. think that’s just a villa thing, if I’m honest.
“I’m not here for like, ‘Oh, we’re exclusive’, or making a big thing out of being exclusive.
“The thing for us would be boyfriend and girlfriend.
“Obviously, we’re not there yet, but when it comes. It was never going to be, ‘Do you want to be exclusive?’
“I think that goes without saying, from my side, at least, I only have eyes for her after I got back with her in the villa, and now in the outside world, it’s the same thing.
“I’ve got no interest in anyone else.
“I think we could have easily done that as well. But, like I said, I think the exclusive thing is more for the show.”
Elsewhere, while appearing on a recent podcast, Helena and Megan ‘Meg’ Moore weighed in on their opinion about Shakira and Harry’s relationship.
Meg said: “Harry and Helena just bounced off each other, and they are very much the same personality.
“But the way I see Harry with Shakira is that they get on like a house on fire. They are very good relationship-wise.
“Harry’s more settled with Shakira.”
While on the Not My Bagg podcast, Harry also added: “Things with Shakira are incredible.
“We’ve been joined at the hip, ever since we came out of the villa.
“We had one day where she went back to Burnley and I went and saw my mum.
“And then we’ve just been together ever since.
“I think the moments that we spend together alone are the ones that I’m living for, to be honest.
“I feel like we can we both just relax when we get in bed.
“We’ve been living in hotels, and the only time we’re relaxing is when we get in bed together at night.”
“I had something good with Helena.
“It was definitely more friendship, but trying to move it into something more serious.
“It was more of like, ‘I’ve got to let all this out. I have to’.
“It’s really hard for me to talk about my emotion sometimes and in that moment [with Shakira], you could see it in my eyes.
“I was like, ‘This is so f**king real’ and I had to let it out and tell her how I felt’.”
While appearing on Loose Women on August 14, 2025, Shakira also echoed Harry’s sentiments about not going exclusive.
The Love Island beauty said: “I think it’s important for us to just build back at our own pace.
“Everyone’s been together from the start [but] we’ve had a very unique experience.”
Meanwhile, Love Island 2025 was won by Cacherel ‘Cach’ Mercer from East London and Antonia ‘Toni’ Laites from Connecticut, US.
