"No! for the new Twitter logo!!!"
Lots of Twitter users have voiced their opinions about the recent re-brand by CEO Elon Musk of Twitter from the famous blue bird to an X.
Many are simply unimpressed with what was seen and knows as a recognisable logo of a blue bird related to the term ‘tweet’ being replaced with a baffling X.
According to Euronews some light was shed on the reason why Elon Musk changed the logo to the new ‘X’.
Throughout his life, Musk has fostered deep personal connections with the letter X.
This fascination can be traced back to his attempt to name his second company X.com, which later evolved into PayPal.
Musk’s affinity for the letter persisted as he introduced the Model X, one of Tesla’s early electric car models, and founded SpaceX, where the ‘X’ found its way into the name as a suffix.
He’s even launched the xAI artificial intelligence app, continuing with his obsession for the ‘X’.
Perhaps the most remarkable manifestation of Musk’s attachment to the letter X is evident in his youngest child’s name, X Æ A-12, affectionately referred to as “X.”
In April 2023, he even took the step of formally changing Twitter’s legal name to X Corp, redirecting visitors from X.com to Twitter.com, with plans to eventually establish X.com as the primary domain for the service.
Therefore, given this history, it comes as no surprise that Musk decided to rebrand his Twitter venture to embrace the beloved X brand officially on July 24, 2023.
However, with #Twitterbird trending on the platform, many users expressed their emotional loss of the popular blue bird:
One angry user wrote:
“No! for the new Twitter logo!!! #TwitterBird Twitter is always twitter and always the Bird! Use the two images I just created of the Twitter bird pooping on the X. ? No! for the X!?Yes! for the Bird!? #Twitter #Logo #TeitterLogo No for Elon Musk stupid ideas! #ElonMusk”
Another said:
“@elonmusk you fired and upset our blue birdie. We loved him and enjoyed seeing him when we signed up. Bring him back. #TwitterBird #BlueBird”
A re-branding lover wrote:
“Normally, I highly embrace rebrandings, new corporate identities, marketing gags. Because they stand for something. They stand for heritage, but bring a brand or product forward. But this, THIS, this is death. This is egomania. In this case, if, I won’t embrace it… #TwitterBird”

I miss you #TwitterBird and I miss Twitter. But an egomaniacal POS wanted to use the platform for the extreme right.

Many users are seeing the change to their app on their smartphones, and trying to resist the update.
It looks like I have an app for Xvideo or something on my phone. This has to be the stupidest and worst rebrand idea ever.#Twitter #TwitterBird #bringbackthebird pic.twitter.com/ZfUD4zMKyf

It looks like changes to Twitter are going to continue as Elon Musk continues to change the platform to turn it into a viable business venture for him and shareholders.
However, it’s evident that not everyone seems to be delighted with this latest change to Twitter.
