"Goldy Brar has been detained in America.”
Goldy Brar, the alleged mastermind behind Sidhu Moose Wala’s death is believed to be in police custody in the United States.
Goldy Brar was apprehended in California on November 20, 2022.
Brar just relocated from Canada, where he has been since 2017.
According to sources, the gangster confessed to killing Moose Wala in a Facebook post, shortly after Brar reportedly moved to America under pressure.
Brar claimed in the Facebook post that it was in vengeance for the 2021 murder of Vicky Middukhera, a leader of the youth Akali movement.
According to information obtained by the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), the intelligence division of the Delhi and Punjab police, Goldy Brar’s detention has generated considerable controversy in California.
Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann confirmed the information:
“There is a confirmed piece of news this morning.
“Being the head of the state I tell you that a big gangster sitting in Canada, Goldy Brar has been detained in America.”
The Punjab Police had previously reported that a red corner notice had been issued against Brar, allowing for the capture and custody of a fugitive overseas.
In order to see justice served for his son’s passing, Sidhu Moose Wala’s father played a crucial role.
Balkaur Singh insisted that the Punjab government make public an offer of a reward of Rs. 2 crore (£199,000) for any information leading to Brar’s arrest.
If the government was unwilling to provide the large sum of money, Balkaur Singh stated he would even be willing to pay the award out of his personal money.
He said: “Why don’t you announce a reward of Rs 2 crore?
“If somebody helps in getting him (Brar) caught, this reward money can be given.”
“I promise that if it cannot pay that much money, I will pay from my own pocket, even if I need to sell my land.”
He has since welcomed Goldy Brar’s arrest.
At a gathering in Amritsar, he used the Australian Police as an example, which had offered a large reward for the capture of an Indian national who had fled the nation after killing a woman four years earlier.
He urged the extradition of Goldy Brar to India so that he might answer for his misdeeds there.
Sidhu Moose Wala was fatally shot on May 29, 2022, while driving his SUV close to his hometown in Punjab’s Mansa district.
