"They themselves are too insecure."

Director Harish Shankar recently broke his silence regarding the negative reviews on Ustaad Bhagat Singh.

The massive box-office impact of Ustaad Bhagat Singh is currently being compared to the high stakes of the IPL.

The film reached theatres last week but faced a huge storm created by the release of Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge.

Ranveer Singh stars in this spy thriller, which has been shattering major records over the past few successful days.

Pawan Kalyan leads the Telugu film, which has struggled to make a significant impact at the busy ticket windows.

Harish Shankar spoke directly to the online trolls during a recent fan interaction event held for the new action film.

“Trollers are more than free to troll anything. I take constructive criticism.

“Like, ‘the scene was not very well written’ or ‘it could have been written much better,’ ‘the first half was little slow’…

“I will take the constructive criticism, and I don’t think of taking the troll material seriously because their identity, their whereabouts are not known.

“They themselves are too insecure to reveal their identity.”

The director mentioned that he only takes accountability and full responsibility when he says something in the public eye.

He believes that people who throw stones in the dark are not the same as those who speak openly.

Shankar claimed that he would have quit the platform X (formerly Twitter) long ago if he truly cared about the trolls.

“The way I’ve been trolled, I would’ve quit Twitter long ago. I don’t care about trolls or those bringing up collections.

“The first people to troll me are my parents when I told them I wanted to work in films.

“It’s not new when someone says, what makes you think you can direct?

“I block or complain when they use abusive language or cross a line.

“I feel successful that I crossed all odds to release this film in theatres.”

Ustaad Bhagat Singh is an official adaptation of the movie Theri, which originally starred Vijay.

The production of this film has been ongoing since the year 2023 under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers.

Despite the big names involved, the film has yet to cross the hundred crore mark after one full week.

The response from the audience has been largely mixed since the day it first premiered.

The movie features several other notable actors, such as Ashutosh Rana and Nawab Shah, in very pivotal supporting roles.

Other cast members include BS Avinash and Gautami, who joined the team to make the story much more interesting.

This film marks the second collaboration between Harish Shankar and Pawan Kalyan after their massive hit called Gabbar Singh.

Their previous movie was a very successful remake of the Hindi blockbuster movie titled Dabangg.

Fans were expecting a similar level of success this time, but the competition from the Hindi film was heavy.
