"Vinod, you’re not just such a pompous a**hole"

US Indian billionaire investor Vinod Khosla has renewed his criticism of Elon Musk, accusing the Tesla CEO of making “seemingly racist” remarks and dragging his family into public disputes.

Khosla posted on X: “Instead of bringing your family into it, maybe try not tweeting ‘SEEMINGLY’ racist stuff next time?

“Many would appreciate it if you acknowledge you are not trying to establish a white society in America, and are not WAGA.”

The clash originated from a 2025 post by Musk, when he wrote that “white people are a rapidly diminishing minority of the global population”.

Khosla then accused Musk of making racism “desirable” and promoting WAGA (White America Great Again).

Musk responded aggressively, calling Khosla a “pompous a**hole”.

The Tesla boss wrote: “Vinod, you’re not just such a pompous a**hole that you tried to stop the public from using a public beach near your house, you’ve also gone full retard.”

He also defended himself against racism allegations by referencing his family and their heritage.

Musk added: “My partner, Shivon, is half Indian and my eldest son with her is named in honor of the great Indian physicist Chandrasekhar.”

Musk further criticised Khosla over his role in a long-running public beach access dispute near Khosla’s California property.

The disagreement has been a flashpoint in debates over private property and public coastal access.

Khosla replied with a lengthy tweet, saying:

“Unfortunately I have no proof to refute your claim that I am a pompous a**hole and retarded.”

He then praised Musk’s business acumen:

“I have said publicly I do admire your extraordinary entrepreneurial skills.”

Khosla also addressed the legal battle over access to Martin Beach, stating that courts in the Friends of Martin Beach case have consistently ruled that while the beach is public, access through private property requires paid parking.

He said: “As to the beach issue, you’d appreciate me standing up to the principle of defending ‘the principal of private property’ instead of giving in to whatever the Coastal Commission wants.

“You would appreciate it if you knew the facts. Anything else is communism.”

Social media users were divided over Khosla’s tweet, with some agreeing with him.

However, others said Elon Musk has never displayed any notion of racism, as one said:

“Elon has never displayed any act of racism. Don’t twist words to suit your agenda or your whatever propaganda.”
