Bollywood's biggest stars showered their blessings on the newly engaged couple
Parties at the Ambani residence are always a star-studded affair, but this time it was extra special.
Indian business magnate and managing director of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita hosted a grand party at their Mumbai residence on 26th March 2018.
The party was in honour of their son Akash Ambani’s engagement to Shloka Mehta.
Bollywood’s biggest stars attended the bash and showered their blessings on the newly engaged couple.
Among them was Shahrukh Khan who arrived at the party alone. The actor was clicked sporting a black suit and black shirt.
He was snapped with Akash and Shloka along with director Karan Johar who also made a stylish appearance at the party in all black. Gauri Khan reportedly joined the party later in the evening.
Also spotted was the gorgeous Bollywood actress, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan along with daughter Aaradhya. The Bachchans are known to be extremely close to Ambanis.
With Abhishek busy shooting for Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyan and Big B also held up with his Thugs Of Hindostan shoot, Aishwarya attended the party with her daughter, Aaradhya.
Ash looked stunning in a black off-shoulder gown with her new hairstyle that will be seen in her upcoming film, Fanne Khan.
Aaradhya also looked like a doll in pink and seemed to be in a chirpy mood. She smiled for the shutterbugs while keeping close to her mother.
Also at the party was actress Katrina Kaif. The star opted for a toned down avatar by wearing a simple millennial pink dress with subtle patterning.
Aamir Khan’s wife Kiran Rao too arrived for the bash but without Aamir, as the actor is caught up with the shoot of Thugs Of Hindostan along with Amitabh Bachchan and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
Other attendees included actor John Abraham and director Rajkumar Hirani. In addition, cricketers Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan and wife Sagarika Ghatge were also snapped at the party.
The happily engaged couple posed for the paparazzi alongside the stars outside of their residence. Akash Ambani looked dapper in a blue suit with open collar, while Shloka stunned in a two-tone rose gold brocade silk gown.
Shloka is the daughter of Rosy Blue empire’s Russell Mehta while Akash is the eldest son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani.
The pair studied together in Dhirubhai Ambani International school and have been inseparable ever since. The couple became engaged at a private event in Goa, as the families of both got to know each other better.
Ambani’s parents decided to host a celebratory party for friends and family on their return to Mumbai.
Akash and Shloka’s wedding is allegedly being planned for December 2018 with official dates yet to be announced. Reports suggest their grand wedding will be held at the Mumbai Oberoi Hotel.
