“Need to take Raees advice myself … soon!"
The King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) has poked fun at himself with a hilarious video to applaud the three successful years of his film, Raees (2017).
The action-crime film completed three fruitful years on Saturday, January 25, 2020.
Raees (2017) was helmed by Rahul Dholakia and produced by Gauri Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment and Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under Excel Entertainment.
SRK essayed the role of bootlegger Raees while Pakistani actress Mahira Khan played the role of his wife Aasiya.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui starred as IPS Jaideep Ambalal Majmudar who worked tirelessly to combat Raees’ (SRK) illegal trade.
To commemorate the three years of Raees (2017) Shah Rukh Khan took to Instagram to mark this special day.
In the video, SRK recites the famous dialogue from the film. He said: “Koi dhanda chota nahi hota aur dhande se bada koi dharam nahi hota.” (No job is small and no there is no religion greater than work).
Then comes an unexpected twist. Suddenly there is a backgroud voice saying: “Abbe tu jaldi se picture chalu kar na. Dhandha, dhandha kar raha hai, kuch kar nahi raha.”
(Hurry up and make a film. Work, work is what you are saying but you are not doing anything).
SRK uploaded this video with the captioned: “Need to take Raees advice myself … soon! Tks (thanks) to whole team of Raees for making this beautiful film.”
In his true witty and humorous fashion, SRK proved that only he can make fun of himself.
The superstar has remained away from the silver screen since 2018. The failure of Anand L Rai’s Zero (2018) was a massive blow for SRK who did not anticipate a box office disaster.
Despite this, fans of Shah Rukh Khan have been eagerly waiting for the Badshah of Bollywood to announce when his next film will be.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, SRK received “around 30-35 solid offers that he was considering seriously.”
The source continued to mention that SRK’s “next would be a film directed by Rajkumar Hirani” that would be a “social comedy”.
Allegedly his next film will be “relevant to what’s going on around us. But not too controversial.” As of yet, this news has remained unconfirmed.
Despite taking a break from the appearing on the silver screen, Shah Rukh Khan has begun his production venture with Abhishek Bachchan, the crime-thriller Bob Biswas (2020).
We hope SRK’s video was a subtle indication that he will be announcing the news of his potential upcoming film.
